WEEK 4 TRIAL
POPULATION: 23
Rise and shine, little sinners. Did you rest well? Hope you weren't too perturbed by the events of the day before. Things seem to be perfectly normal throughout your morning, but at 12pm, everyone will receive a mass text message to their phone.
Whether you agree or disagree, soon you will find yourself physically moving toward the conference room on the bottom floor, filing into the room and taking a seat in one of the vacant chairs. Two metal boxes sit at the end of each table along with a collection of pens and colored notecards. At the head of the room, Wrath, Greed, Despair and Sloth patiently wait as the TV above them displays a message.
Once the last participant enters the room, the door will swing closed behind them and lock them inside.
Wrath is sitting on the table, organizing notes and gently sliding them to Greed. Sloth is here with what looks like a dog-shaped neck pillow sticking out of the edges of their hood. The spiraled horn on the top of their head is longer and sharper. Greed is leaning against the table in an attempt to be present, hands tentatively reaching forward to take the papers from Wrath. Despair has taken their usual seat, just vibing here as they quietly observe. Oddly, Sloth, Greed and Wrath are not in their cloaks today. Instead, they are in sweatpants (shorts in Wrath's case) and cozy hoodies in their color with their symbol printed on the front. The hoods are pulled over their heads however. Once everyone has settled, Sloth chimes in.
Everyone has nine hours again! You can do it! Last time, you even did it a little early! Wow!
Hello, and welcome to your fifth trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the events of the day before! While mini-investigations were held yesterday, today is the day characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, while voting is not mandatory, we do have a voting page should characters wish to vote! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST) if you wish to vote.
Good luck, and have fun!

Misa
[She's been sitting in a chair, super tired, looking at her phone a lot.]
However, there are two facts that I find troubling. First, there is no way Misa could have moved the dish rack on her own, unless she used an Avatar power to do it. Second, Misa had a curse on her on Thursday night and Friday that gave her an obsession against allowing anyone to die. I assume she could have gotten around the curse, but it's a reason for caution.

Everything I told you was the truth, Harrow.
[ is all she says. ]

...If Misa was awake, could that explain her burn? If she saw Eleanor in the house, and the obsession made it so she tried to save her.

Right.... Do we think there's the possibility of an accomplice? But when I was looking through, I couldn't really find anything else... I mean - I can give you the list of combat injuries?

Then... it's just Amane-san.
[a beat]
I do think I was used pretty intensely as a distraction - Lenore-san too - so if there's someone who'd be willing to mess with us?

Aoi doesn't want to punish an accident.

The curse was intended to make it impossible for her to kill someone, if it worked as intended.

If Misa Misa was obsessed with preventing death, but managed to kill anyway... Then it would have to be an accident, because she didn't want it to happen. [ unless the implication is that misa was obsessed with only preventing her own death at the cost of someone else's life... ]

[she crosses her arms]
If you and Sheila together had trouble moving that rack, she'd definitely struggle with it. [no offense misa] I agree it could have been moved with a power, but that seems... if you could make yourself strong enough to do that, there are more effective ways to use it in a murder, don't you think?
Aside from that - if she actually was the killer, simply waiting for us to find the burn simply makes no sense at all. She knows we regularly check hands, and she knows we regularly check for injuries. A killer would try to come up with some excuse for it. Someone who simply doesn't know what to do wouldn't.
...she seems genuinely distraught, to me.
