Rise and shine, little sinners. Did you rest well? Hope you weren't too perturbed by the events of the day before. Things seem to be perfectly normal throughout your morning, but at 12pm, everyone will receive a mass text message to their phone.

trial. noon.

Whether you agree or disagree, soon you will find yourself physically moving toward the conference room on the bottom floor, filing into the room and taking a seat in one of the vacant chairs. Two metal boxes sit at the end of each table along with a collection of pens and colored notecards. At the head of the room, Wrath, Greed, Despair and Sloth patiently wait as the TV above them displays a message.

Victim: Eleanor Shellstrop

Once the last participant enters the room, the door will swing closed behind them and lock them inside.

Wrath is sitting on the table, organizing notes and gently sliding them to Greed. Sloth is here with what looks like a dog-shaped neck pillow sticking out of the edges of their hood. The spiraled horn on the top of their head is longer and sharper. Greed is leaning against the table in an attempt to be present, hands tentatively reaching forward to take the papers from Wrath. Despair has taken their usual seat, just vibing here as they quietly observe. Oddly, Sloth, Greed and Wrath are not in their cloaks today. Instead, they are in sweatpants (shorts in Wrath's case) and cozy hoodies in their color with their symbol printed on the front. The hoods are pulled over their heads however. Once everyone has settled, Sloth chimes in.

Everyone has nine hours again! You can do it! Last time, you even did it a little early! Wow!

Hello, and welcome to your fifth trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the events of the day before! While mini-investigations were held yesterday, today is the day characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, while voting is not mandatory, we do have a voting page should characters wish to vote! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST) if you wish to vote.

Presumably for my own arbitrary reasons? I arbitrarily decided to give her a curse on Thursday night that would make it impossible to kill someone.

It is for the obvious reason. I believed she planned to kill somebody, and I wanted to stop her.

[She looks kind of sad at this.]

[She'll go to try to comfort her, with an awkward hand on her shoulder.]

[ harrow is being really nice, but there's only thirty minutes left. flatly: ]

You told Harrowhark you were planning to kill someone this week. You knew last trial what murder as an indulgence meant. You asked Gluttony for a power, and one was used for this murder.

Harrowhark's power was only half as effective as the original, because of the limitations of Oliver Twist. I doubt it'd be enough to stop you from going through with your plans entirely. You have a burn you can't explain.

[She's sort of staring at Vira as she says this.]

I'm not the one who killed Eleanor. If I'm voted for when trial ends, y-you're going to kill someone innocent.
