Rise and shine, little sinners. Did you rest well? Hope you weren't too perturbed by the events of the day before. Things seem to be perfectly normal throughout your morning, but at 12pm, everyone will receive a mass text message to their phone.

goood morning! come join us in the conference room when you're ready!

Whether you agree or disagree, soon you will find yourself physically moving toward the conference room on the bottom floor, filing into the room and taking a seat in one of the vacant chairs. Two metal boxes sit at the end of each table along with a collection of pens and colored notecards. At the head of the room, Lust, Pride, Envy and Gluttony patiently wait as the TV above them displays a message.

Victims: Omi Fushimi, Ashiya Douman

Once the last participant enters the room, the door will swing closed behind them and lock them inside.

Lust is at the table and seems to be finishing a topcoat on their nails. Pride is looking down at their claws, sprawled in their chair. Envy is slumped forward on the table... but don't worry, he's not dead this time, he just has his head pillowed on his folded arms. Gluttony is sitting up straight, hands laced together and waiting.

The rest of the Avatars all look at Pride after a moment of silence, and then, vaguely annoyed, Pride says:

What? They know they have nine hours by this point. Don't look at me.

Hello, and welcome to fourth third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the events of the day before! While mini-investigations were held yesterday, today is the day characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, while voting is not mandatory, we do have a voting page should characters wish to vote! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST) if you wish to vote.

Well - okay. So let's talk about other options. If Omi-san's foaming at the mouth, that implies poison. That means he had to have eaten food that someone slipped poison into, even that Omi-san's normally the one who cooks, right?

So... Is there anyone who's cooking he would've eaten? The stove was hot and the dishes were cleaned - so that means a meal was prepared.

Well... if he's awake Thursday night, he should be well aware that someone is out to kill him.

So either someone he trusted, or he just didn't want to defend himself regardless of who it was.

Unless he ate it before curfew.

Yes, that's also a possibility.

Didn't seem to me like he was particularly picky about who makes the food he eats. Maybe we should be looking for anyone who can cook a decent meal at all?

Right, we may have assumed Omi was the one cooking, but perhaps it was someone he would've trusted on Thursday night.

Somehow I don't think Omi was particularly discerning in who he trusted. [Considering. Douman and Fukuda.]

. . . I dislike suggesting this, but didn't Gojou say earlier Omi had been banned from the kitchen because Gojou was preparing food for him?

...So someone prepared him poisoned food in the kitchen where he started, then moved him to the observation room to try and confuse us?

And poison that put 'im to sleep [ thinking of the dogs ] woulda been pretty merciful. But if we're thinkin' about motives, it doesn't make much sense.

Gojou-san wouldn't do that to someone who trusted him. He has no reason to. If motives are purely based on who we're choosing of our own free will, and how, then I wouldn't put Gojou-san into considerations at all.

But Omi... had to have known the food was suspicious. He had to have known that he was awake because someone wanted to kill 'im, and he ate it anyway.

Omi's trusting, but not that much.

I agree. It doesn't make sense, unless there's a motive for killing we're unaware of.

I thought since we didn't know when one of us was going to go, we would celebrate each other's birthdays somehow. He made me sweets on Monday, so I promised I would make him his favorite dish on Thursday, except I got stuck in trauma hotel for a while.

I ate ice cream to ice out my fever in the kitchen after we separated and celebrated, so...

[ throws his love life out there for everyone to see ]

But you were in the kitchen for curfew last night?

[ He doesn't state the obvious that he clearly knows anything about poisons because he knows Mineo's not stupid. ]

Creating a poison would depend on what can be found here, but there's also anything that was given to them by the Avatars or from home. Many of us did get possessions last week.

Hmm... Maybe that won't lead us anywhere then - so we gotta think about suspects. Someone whose food Omi-san would've eaten... and do we know if the - tears? If they're tears, were they from Omi-san or the killer?

Are there any additional curfew effects that could point us to anybody?

If it wasn't Omi cookin', then it'd have to be someone who knows that kinda cuisine too. [ probably ramen? ] Not everyone would know how to make it.

I think we can rule the library out for Omi, unless Douman really was his killer. [ see: Law's motives ] The airport had food themed destinations, and in the morning one of those "planes" crashed outside the window. Alcohol in the medbay could indicate something, for poisoning like the sleeping dogs may very well be, but the cracked pods and howling...
