WEEK 3 TRIAL
POPULATION: 25
Rise and shine, little sinners. Did you rest well? Hope you weren't too perturbed by the events of the day before. Things seem to be perfectly normal throughout your morning, but at 12pm, everyone will receive a mass text message to their phone.
Whether you agree or disagree, soon you will find yourself physically moving toward the conference room on the bottom floor, filing into the room and taking a seat in one of the vacant chairs. Two metal boxes sit at the end of each table along with a collection of pens and colored notecards. At the head of the room, Lust, Pride, Envy and Gluttony patiently wait as the TV above them displays a message.
Once the last participant enters the room, the door will swing closed behind them and lock them inside.
Lust is at the table and seems to be finishing a topcoat on their nails. Pride is looking down at their claws, sprawled in their chair. Envy is slumped forward on the table... but don't worry, he's not dead this time, he just has his head pillowed on his folded arms. Gluttony is sitting up straight, hands laced together and waiting.
The rest of the Avatars all look at Pride after a moment of silence, and then, vaguely annoyed, Pride says:
What? They know they have nine hours by this point. Don't look at me.
Hello, and welcome to fourth third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the events of the day before! While mini-investigations were held yesterday, today is the day characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, while voting is not mandatory, we do have a voting page should characters wish to vote! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST) if you wish to vote.
Good luck, and have fun!

When I asked him about it, he said he thought he used to cook things when he was human, and wanted to revisit things to develop his skills.
[ ... ]
I can't say I recognise the dish, but it doesn't look overly complicated to make.
no subject
Yeah, I made Ashiya-san some ramen before. So I guess he would be pretty familiar with it. It's not super hard to make in general if you make it instant and throw extra stuff in.
But why would Aoi-san and Shi-san still be cursed...?
no subject
We're attributing it to Omi's case, but timing-wise someone intervened before we caught anyway. Weren't Sasazuka and Sheila handing Aoi back and forth because the strip check was happening?
no subject
But we're attributing it to Omi-san's case because Law-san didn't do it - so what's the point of cursing them during a trial except as a distraction?
no subject
But the cookbook thing felt like something I should mention, at the very least.
no subject
Cookbook's fair - it's just that other stuff doesn't make sense.
Law-san, did you tell anybody about what you did before today? Would anyone try to cover for you, or did you expect to be found??
no subject
I did share what I did with others but not to the extent of what I did. All they knew was my injuries and that I had killed someone.
The extent I asked for them to cover for me was just to provide an explanation of alternate events. [ which...did not happen. ] Given they weren't involved in any of Douman's murder directly, I'm going to leave them anonymous.
no subject
Okay.
So there's no chance that someone could've covered for you with this weird power? I think that's what I'm trying to figure out.
no subject
None.
At least, that was not the agreement we reached. I don't suspect any of them of going to these great lengths for distraction either.
no subject
So I really do think that it's someone trying to cover up Omi-san's....
