Rise and shine, little sinners. Did you rest well? Hope you weren't too perturbed by the events of the day before. Things seem to be perfectly normal throughout your morning, but at 12pm, everyone will receive a mass text message to their phone.

goood morning! come join us in the conference room when you're ready!

Whether you agree or disagree, soon you will find yourself physically moving toward the conference room on the bottom floor, filing into the room and taking a seat in one of the vacant chairs. Two metal boxes sit at the end of each table along with a collection of pens and colored notecards. At the head of the room, Lust, Pride, Envy and Gluttony patiently wait as the TV above them displays a message.

Victims: Omi Fushimi, Ashiya Douman

Once the last participant enters the room, the door will swing closed behind them and lock them inside.

Lust is at the table and seems to be finishing a topcoat on their nails. Pride is looking down at their claws, sprawled in their chair. Envy is slumped forward on the table... but don't worry, he's not dead this time, he just has his head pillowed on his folded arms. Gluttony is sitting up straight, hands laced together and waiting.

The rest of the Avatars all look at Pride after a moment of silence, and then, vaguely annoyed, Pride says:

What? They know they have nine hours by this point. Don't look at me.

Hello, and welcome to fourth third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the events of the day before! While mini-investigations were held yesterday, today is the day characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, while voting is not mandatory, we do have a voting page should characters wish to vote! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST) if you wish to vote.

I was wondering if they were all that and without vision. [ it's an improvement. ] But there'd be depth perception issues as well -- [ you'd know that wouldn't you, you eyepatch wearing nerd ] -- alongside all of the other injuries they'd had.

For the record, Douman lost their eyes at separate time. When they were only missing one in there, they didn't seem to have any trouble fighting. Or shooting a gun.

... So it's likely they could've defended themselves when attacked, regardless. There's also... well. Fight or flight that kicks in. Adrenaline could do a lot as well.

Right. So I wouldn't count out a fight.

Guess we'll find out when we find out where they died.

Hopefully before 8.

That's usually the goal.

Which means we'll probably have to look at each other's bodies again. At least for Douman's case, who knows much damage Omi coulda done...

I wouldn't necessarily count Omi out.

I didn't spend six hours in that stupid pod to get naked again to prove I spent six hours in that stupid pod.

We ain't got any reason to hide our bodies after seein' each other naked so many times now. And ya ain't got anything to be shy about either.

They didn't have to deal with side effects back then, though... So, that's a concern.

They were kind of missing part of their hand?

Yeah. In general, it'd be easier to take out Ashiya-san this week than any other. So when we're looking at suspects, we won't need to limit it to just people who'd be able to take them in a fight.

But we need to check out their body before we reach any conclusions about how.

You said Douman's side effect was . . . feeling dizzy, correct?

I don't know if that was the side effect exactly or if it was just part of... you know, not having one eye completely back.

[gestures at his own face]

If you're not used to it, depth perception can suck.

Exactly. Find out where they died and they we can start piecing this together a little better.

[sengokus]

Not knowing where they started is pretty annoying...

We're accounting for everybody else, right? People who were alone should probably be noted since others can't vouch for them.

We'll have to double check what we have and see who isn't accounted for and go from there. Something to be doing while we wait for more evidence.
