Rise and shine, little sinners. Did you rest well? Hope you weren't too perturbed by the events of the day before. Things seem to be perfectly normal throughout your morning, but at 12pm, everyone will receive a mass text message to their phone.

goood morning! come join us in the conference room when you're ready!

Whether you agree or disagree, soon you will find yourself physically moving toward the conference room on the bottom floor, filing into the room and taking a seat in one of the vacant chairs. Two metal boxes sit at the end of each table along with a collection of pens and colored notecards. At the head of the room, Lust, Pride, Envy and Gluttony patiently wait as the TV above them displays a message.

Victims: Omi Fushimi, Ashiya Douman

Once the last participant enters the room, the door will swing closed behind them and lock them inside.

Lust is at the table and seems to be finishing a topcoat on their nails. Pride is looking down at their claws, sprawled in their chair. Envy is slumped forward on the table... but don't worry, he's not dead this time, he just has his head pillowed on his folded arms. Gluttony is sitting up straight, hands laced together and waiting.

The rest of the Avatars all look at Pride after a moment of silence, and then, vaguely annoyed, Pride says:

What? They know they have nine hours by this point. Don't look at me.

Hello, and welcome to fourth third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the events of the day before! While mini-investigations were held yesterday, today is the day characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, while voting is not mandatory, we do have a voting page should characters wish to vote! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST) if you wish to vote.

.... I think that when it came to Starphase-san's murder, it was implied to be someone bigger than Yi-kun. And that's a pretty small number. It's about if you believed Yi-kun's testimony or not... and I do.

Douman was attached to Omi as well, weren't they? It's possible that they killed him, given the murder method seems similar to that of Steven's death last week.

But I agree, we should think on anyone else who might've wished ill upon Omi, though he always seemed inoffensive to me.

Maybe... it was just because he seemed like an easy target, and the killer really, really wants to "win."

Murders hold more weight than any other kind of indulgence.

Yes, he did seem soft. It will be difficult to discern if Douman was the one who killed him, so perhaps we should approach it from this angle instead.

Considering the damage to my shovel, I wouldn't have been surprised if it was Douman that stole it and used it, given the strength needed to warp the head of a shovel like that. Enough force and attempts can bash a skull in, but to manage both...

But with Law's confession, the focus does have to shift for Omi. Who would have a motive for killing him like that?

If we're still considering Douman as a suspect, he did tell me "I don't need to be reminded of my failures every time I look at him."

But words don't mean anything unless we have evidence.

Douman . . . doesn't seem to take rejection well.

I suppose it's best to check Douman against Omi's evidence, along with the living, given how they reacted to him on Thursday when you all came back from your trip. [ helltrip ]
