Rise and shine, little sinners. Did you rest well? Hope you weren't too perturbed by the events of the day before. Things seem to be perfectly normal throughout your morning, but at 12pm, everyone will receive a mass text message to their phone.

goood morning! come join us in the conference room when you're ready!

Whether you agree or disagree, soon you will find yourself physically moving toward the conference room on the bottom floor, filing into the room and taking a seat in one of the vacant chairs. Two metal boxes sit at the end of each table along with a collection of pens and colored notecards. At the head of the room, Lust, Pride, Envy and Gluttony patiently wait as the TV above them displays a message.

Victims: Omi Fushimi, Ashiya Douman

Once the last participant enters the room, the door will swing closed behind them and lock them inside.

Lust is at the table and seems to be finishing a topcoat on their nails. Pride is looking down at their claws, sprawled in their chair. Envy is slumped forward on the table... but don't worry, he's not dead this time, he just has his head pillowed on his folded arms. Gluttony is sitting up straight, hands laced together and waiting.

The rest of the Avatars all look at Pride after a moment of silence, and then, vaguely annoyed, Pride says:

What? They know they have nine hours by this point. Don't look at me.

Hello, and welcome to fourth third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the events of the day before! While mini-investigations were held yesterday, today is the day characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, while voting is not mandatory, we do have a voting page should characters wish to vote! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST) if you wish to vote.

[ okay, well. moving on! is there really no pool of blood anywhere, i'm crying. where the fuck did douman die. there's no blood on the chair cushions or tablecloths anything, either? ]

Footprints...? Not whole footprints, but footprints. Can you come over here and compare your feet, too?

[She will snap another picture for comparison, later. In the meantime, can she tell anything about the way the person was moving around? Like... are the prints somewhat uncoordinated and all over the place, or do they make an easy to follow path? Also, do the drips coincide with the path formed by the prints?]

[there's no blood on the chairs or anything, but in looking meg will find a larger puddle of blood toward the back of the tea room, kind of pooling in the center.

the smears are pretty sudden as if the person was moving quickly. there isn't a distinct pattern or path, but the drips from the outside down coincide with these smeared prints.]

[ she will stop by the sort-of footprints to compare her foot as requested, but then she's going to go look at that puddle of blood! carefully, since there's glass everywhere.

so is it just a puddle, then? no murder weapon or signed confession? more signs of a struggle or footprints leading over here? ]

So this must be where they killed Douman.

[... She sighs upon hearing that.]

Should we send another update?

[But in the meantime, she will check that the smeared prints don't have anything hidden between them. After that, she will take a look at the remaining tea sets, food, teas, cutlery, etc. Is there anything visibly funky inside or between them? Or, like any weird smells coming from them?]

[the sort-of prints are also larger than meg's. it's just a puddle of blood, nothing else in particular there.

there's nothing else that stands out among the rest of the tea sets or prints either.]

I don't know. If there's nothing else, then maybe we should just head on back?

[ she's just? squinting at this puddle of blood? not even any splatter marks here? no smears, it's all just... pooled there? ]
