WEEK 3 TRIAL
POPULATION: 25
Rise and shine, little sinners. Did you rest well? Hope you weren't too perturbed by the events of the day before. Things seem to be perfectly normal throughout your morning, but at 12pm, everyone will receive a mass text message to their phone.
Whether you agree or disagree, soon you will find yourself physically moving toward the conference room on the bottom floor, filing into the room and taking a seat in one of the vacant chairs. Two metal boxes sit at the end of each table along with a collection of pens and colored notecards. At the head of the room, Lust, Pride, Envy and Gluttony patiently wait as the TV above them displays a message.
Once the last participant enters the room, the door will swing closed behind them and lock them inside.
Lust is at the table and seems to be finishing a topcoat on their nails. Pride is looking down at their claws, sprawled in their chair. Envy is slumped forward on the table... but don't worry, he's not dead this time, he just has his head pillowed on his folded arms. Gluttony is sitting up straight, hands laced together and waiting.
The rest of the Avatars all look at Pride after a moment of silence, and then, vaguely annoyed, Pride says:
What? They know they have nine hours by this point. Don't look at me.
Hello, and welcome to fourth third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the events of the day before! While mini-investigations were held yesterday, today is the day characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, while voting is not mandatory, we do have a voting page should characters wish to vote! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST) if you wish to vote.

Ah...
[there is a moment where she just stares in horror, before taking another breath and forcing herself to continue. okay. piano wire. if she nudges the wire with a finger, is that enough to get it to move, or is it too stuck in there?
also she's. checking to see the status of the cleyes (clown eyes). some people mentioned one was back before curfew; what's the deal with them now that they're a corpse?]

it sort of twangs a bit, the wire. it's longer than the width of douman's neck so it sort of wobbles on either side when she touches it. she could probably pull it out if she wanted.
the right eye is intact! no damage. the left eye is in the process of growing back. it's tiny and squishy and very clearly not big enough to see out of.]

once she's done looking at that, she'll set it down on the table next to douman and like. peek into their left eye. not anything else rattling around in the socket, is there? it's... just the eye?
and then - time to check the rest of their face and head for any potential wounds! if she puts her hands to their scalp, will she feel any bumps or anything? what's the status of their ears, nose, and mouth... she's trying to be thorough]

also it's just the eye in there. bleh.
she's being thorough with his head so - she finds a pretty nasty bruise on the back of their head. it's circular (i'm afraid to tell you how big it is because andie made fun of my size sense last week) and like the size of... a coaster. like a drink coaster. there are some faint hickey bruises on the neck that she can barely see because of, you know, neck wound.
you can assume there are also various faint sex injuries here and there, we're all well aware the clown was clorny.]

she frowns, then makes a circle with her fingers around the edges of the bruise (i'm not describing this right probably) so she has an idea of how to demonstrate the size of it when she goes to report the results.
she's just politely looking away from the sinjuries. yes, yes, she knows the clown was clorny.
also just to be safe i'm specifying that she's opening their mouth and looking inside to make sure there's not, like, anything obvious in there. there was some talk of the tired doggos at the dog park potentially meaning someone got drugged, after all.
once that's done, it's time to check out the rest of the clorpse. moving down from the head and past the gore on the neck, what's there to see on the clown's chest, arms, hands, under their fingernails? any wounds or bruises that don't look particularly sexy?]

nothing in the mouth! they have big fangsies and sharp teeth though. big chompers.
there's blood on their hands, particularly under the fingernails, and on the fingertips. also, there's just a bite mark on their right hand. nothing on the clown tiddies but a little lower down around the stomach area there's blood on their clothes.
i know you said you're ignoring sex injuries but there are for sure rope marks around the wrists.]

looking at the fingernails - are there any bits of skin stuck under there, or is it just blood? OH WAIT ALSO looking at the fingertips - if she tries to wipe some of the blood away, are there any finger injuries? slices from wire, perhaps?
...also. sighs. how fresh do the rope marks look, generally speaking. if someone had been hanging with the clown thursday pre-curfew would they have seen them there or are they Brand New.
as for the blood on their clothes - she'll look closely. is it just that they're bloody, or are there any rips and tears? and. also sighs again. she'll take the clothes off to check for any wounds under them... iirc douman usually wears layers, so like, she'll be checking each layer to see how far down the blood has soaked through if there's not an obvious hole in them from stabbing or something.]

the rope marks are a few days old.

skin bits. great. fantastic. love that. do the nails seem damaged at all, or just bloody? are we going to find clail (clown nail) pieces in someone's scratches later...

as for the clothes - the front to start, but she'll be taking the clothing off layer by layer and checking both front and back to get an idea of how far down the blood has soaked!]

the nails are fine, just bloody.
on the front of the clown's torso she'll find a eye shaped injury that's very faded that looks like it was drawn into the front of douman's shoulder. it's like very faint, though. as she undresses the clown, she'll find that there's a couple of small stab wounds right in douman's kidney area. the injuries are jagged and uneven, made by something fairly thick. this seems to be where the blood has come from.]

[jesus christ. her hands shake a little as she takes in the sight of the injuries, and she steels herself to take a picture of them on her phone before getting a closer look, just in case jostling the clown to investigate damages them somehow.
jagged, uneven, and thick... she'll measure them between her fingers to try and get an idea of the approximate size of them to demonstrate later when reporting back, and then looks at the clothing again.
are. are there stabs in the clothing as well, or is the clothing intact. was this clown naked when their kidney was stabbed.
for the sake of being thorough, she'll also check over the rest of their body down to their legs, and then turn them over to check their back for injuries next. and by back i mean like. their entire back half. shoulders, back of the arms, actual back, ass, back of the legs, etc. i hate specifying this but i refuse to be the one to miss assvidence.]

there's a few of these wounds - it looks like the same pattern of three or so stabs at an equal distance apart, but clonestamped a few times. the wounds themselves are maybe dimesized or a little bigger.
i can't believe it's me every week that has to write about whether y'all find assvidence or not. you don't, there's nothing on their back, legs, shoulders, anything like that other than various injuries she can probably tell are from sex and ropes.]

once she's done checking on that, though, she'll turn them back over, re-dress them, and pull the sheet over them because i can't think of anything else to look for someone else do it.]
