Good morning, starshines. It is another beautiful day here on the base and it’s the start of a new week!

Good thing, too. After the deaths of Tamaki Suoh and Beauregard, the tension around the base may be a bit higher than it was before. Should anyone try to contact the deceased or review their profiles, they will find that they have been deleted from everyone's phones.

Or maybe you don't care and this is life as usual. That's fine, too. With everything in working order once again, the elevator reveals that it may now visit the second floor. Perhaps it’s worth checking out these new areas, free for exploration.

While you can't contact the deceased, the Avatars are once again available via their eight symbols. Shoot them a message, have a chat with them, and see what you can learn. Perhaps you'll find it easier this week.

But...while adjusting to life here may be easier to handle, you may find other things which used to come easy have been tempered this week. Are you well-known for your swordfighting skills? Suddenly you'll find you can barely hold a blade. Do you pride yourself on your sociable personality? A crippling shyness may overwhelm you, making it difficult to speak to people at all. As the week goes on, it becomes clear that the special trait or skill you've invested so much time and energy in is no longer something that comes easily to you.

Looks like it's back to the basics.

[Yeah, Douman's eyes are instantly drawn to that chest. Sorry to everyone reading this. I have already prepared my grave.]

[ Vlad's gaze on Douman, in contrast, does not falter. He is perfectly happy to remain draped all over this couch ~~like one of your french girls~~ and is undeterred by awkward gazes. ]

Perhaps you just like sitting here and staring at everyone else? Who is to say?

[And just reaching over to pluck the explanatory book from Vlad's hands.]

Hm. And what is this?

[ go ahead, take it. Vlad lets the arm that was holding the book drop to the couch, shifting his robe open and exposing a little more ab. i hate this. ]

A book explaining how to ah, indulge in here, it appears.

[Is there any space on this couch left? Maybe? Good! Douman is sitting on it, pushing their body back against Vlad's as they flip through the book.]

Tell me what you learned, then.

[ well i had envisioned him with his legs covering the rest of the couch but sure, fine, if douman wants to take a seat, then he'll pull his leggies in to give them space....and then drapes them over douman's lap. yeah, this is happening now, i fucking guess. ]

My, if I knew I was going to be tested on it later, I might've read it more closely.

[That's certainly a move. Douman purses their lips, lifting a eyebrow.]

You aren't even reading it that well? Shame, shame. And here I was going to see if you were taking it seriously, or merely posing here for others to admire.

[And since this is klutz time, just going to drop that book riiiiight on Vlad's chest! Whoops! Douman does not look sorry about this.]

Relaxing in a luxurious atmosphere, posing for others to admire...is there really any difference there?

[ the book bounces harmlessly off his ~~balloon pecs~~ chest onto the couch cushion. Vlad chuckles. ]

My, a bit of a butterfinger today, are we?

I just didn't think of you as the type to let it all...what's the phrase? "Hang out?"

[Terrible. Douman just laughs at the comment.]

I do seem to be? Well, if I fall off of this couch, next...maybe you'll catch me, hm?

Maybe I shall.

[ i mean. personally i can't envision how that would be physically possible with the way they're arranged on the couch, but that's not important here. ]

Are you looking to tempt fate?

[let the clown be a harlot and imagine situations that they know can't work out, shhhh]

Ahahaha. Perhaps. [And a lift of the sleeve, a coy look over it.] Though I might be too much for you to handle...

[ how DARE you insinuate vlad is incapable of something!!!!! he sits upright, leaning towards Douman because this is Important and must be Emphasized. ]

Oh, I highly doubt that. I can handle more than you can possibly imagine.

[And just pressing a finger right in the center of Vlad's chest, pressing down. Their mouth curves into a smirk.]

Be careful, Vlad. If your ego blows up any bigger, one thinks it might fly away.

That implies I'm bluffing. But I assure you, I am more than capable of handling anything you can throw at me.

[ At the touch, he leans his head in just ever so slightly closer. enough that they can feel the hot breath of his words on their face. ]

[Also, this is very dangerous. Not for Douman, no, but for Vlad, because that closeness certainly makes their dark eyes dilate just a little bit.]

Ohohoho. [And they grin wide, sharp teeth glinting.] Do you want to prove that, mm?

Vlad's grin, in turn, becomes deeply devious. ]

[Oh, poor poor Vlad. The red flags are all there. The warning signs are blaring. Its like waggling a stick in a beast's cage and seeing if it will tear it to pieces.]

[Douman will gladly take that as an invitation to suddenly straddle the man, pressing their hands into Vlad's shoulders to shove him back down into the couch.]

You know, I do want to see you eat those words.

[ Vlad allows himself to be pushed down, but his grin turns downright feral. He leans his head forward to look right at their face. ]

Make me.

[closes eyes]

[Well, horrifyingly, Douman is not going to back down from that.]

[Be ready, Vlad, because you're being kissed right now! Lucky for you, except it isn't a nice kiss at all. Enjoy those clown fangs (clfangs?? clangs????)!]

[ oh, there's fangs now??? i'd say "two can play at that game" but vlad's ghost form is nerfed right now, so he can't compete.

that said, he doesn't hate vicious clown fang kissing. there's something alluring in the danger there. he presses into it harder. ]

[Anyways, this is terrible! Douman lets out a little shameless moan into the kiss, biting down on Vlad's lower lip.]

Ahahaha. Didn't know you had bite.

[ he chuckles darkly. ]

You don't know the half of it.

[ literally. the half with fangs. you don't know it. this is a pun. vlad is very pleased with himself and i'm filled with despair

If this is how Douman wants to do, then once he relinquishes Vlad's lip, he'll yank them down by his hold on their neck and back, clutching them tightly. you're going to be exactly as close to him as Vlad demands, and he demands it to be very close right now. ]

[Oh, that's dangerous - Douman lets out a snarl despite themselves, claws digging into the fabric of the couch on either side of Vlad.]

You're playing a dangerous game. [And they draw their teeth along Vlad's jawline.] I'm not one who'll be led around by someone like you.

[ closes my eyes so hard ]

Is that a challenge?

[ jk, of course it's a challenge, and vlad is not about to LOSE. He may not have claws, but he does have nails, and he's already pressing douman up against him, so. he's just going to dig those nails into their flesh. He may be pinned down like this, but he's certainly not relinquishing all control. ]

[us holding each other at gunpoint]

Does it sound like one?

[Is all Douman manages to say, before those nails dig in - the priest shudders, pleased with the pain, and bends to bite down on Vlad's neck, worrying a bruise of a mark into the flesh.]
