WEEK ZERO: INTRO MINGLE....2

[At around 10 AM sunday morning, there is the sound of a very alarming, earth-shaking crash that comes from the hallway with the elevator.

Should you choose to investigate, you will come across four figures splattered across the ground in front of said elevator, covered in slime and bits of fur.

The first figure to pop up is a figure in a hooded cloak with a crossed swords symbol etched into the side of the hood. They use the rest of the figures on the floor to push themselves up and then immediately let out a blood-curdling shriek as they just… set the elevator on fire.

As the elevator closes over the flames, the smallest figure in a hooded cloak with a ring of hearts symbol rolls off to the side, looking at their slime-coated sleeves with a distressed nya sound. They reach up to wipe bits of slime off of the two bumps at the top of their head, flinging it on the floor before sitting up on their knees.

The third hooded figure rolls up, and then rolls? into the air? to float? The very tip of the white, spiraled horn on the top of their head jutting through the hood is chipped. :( A wilted plant symbol is embroidered on the side of the hood. They clap their hands somewhat excitedly.]

Wow, we, like, didn’t die!

[The tallest figure finally pulls themselves up off the floor with a little groan, having been on the bottom of the pile. They reach up to rub their head, careful of the hood of their cloak, which has an eye symbol embroidered on the side. Their sleeve slips down a little, and a bright green eye opens up on their forearm, swiveling to look around before it closes and blinks out of existence.]

Jeez, did we not have enough property destruction already? Cannot believe you bitches live like this, by the way.

[The elevator is now closed, and the figure with the wrath symbol just sits down on the floor and starts shucking the slime off their sleeves like they’re squeegee-ing it. Their cloak is pulled up a little, which means everybody can see their bare feet, which are on fire. grumbled:]

Wish I were dead.

[The figure with the lust symbol whines slightly as they get to their feet, leaving little time between the moment they stand and the moment they move in the blink of an eye to jump onto the tallest figure’s back, draping themselves over them as they look around. Please ignore the way the back of their cloak quivers just slightly.]

Aw, don’t say that. How were we supposed to know the elevator would get stuck?

Oof- [The tall figure only stumbles slightly, just taking hold of their new barnacle’s legs like this is not the first time it’s happened. They are allowed to feel tall.]

Well, now it’s stuck and on fire, which I personally don’t think is a huge improvement? Can we, uh, move on? Definitely not it.

[In the background, the wrath hood lies on the floor and expires.]

Welcome to, uh--here! We were going to come down earlier to greet you, buuuut someone broke the elevator! We’re here now, though, so… hello!

We're all okay! I mean the elevator suddenly plummeting at high speeds was pretty scary, actually, but it turned out fine.

Seems the only damage was your clothing.

[ gu yun laughs, and if he doesn't get knocked out of the way, will reach over to stick his finger in that uh. slime and help clean it off. gross. ] Where'd you all come from, exactly? Before the elevator.

[probe]

[gu yun can do what he wants! lust doesn't seem to push him away and also slime is gross.]

Oh. Upstairs. [thank you, lust.] We've been here for a while but we wanted to let you guys get to know each other first before we introduced ourselves.

[liuli]

[ he's very considerate like that (?). here, let him help you get cleaned off. ]

How kind of you. What's upstairs, besides... I would assume the rest of you?

[probe]

[wow, gu yun's so nice and helpful.]

The rest of us are upstairs, but there's other stuff too. I'd hate to ruin the surprise though!

Hmm.... [ a beat, and then, he bats his eyelashes, playfully. ] Could I have a hint? Promise, I won't spoil.

[probe]

[they lean in a little closer, more or less hanging over envy's shoulder now.]

It's. A. Se-cret! [it's a matching tone, but they seem at ease.] But I promise you'll like it.

[liuli]

Hmm.

[ thinking, thinking...

but, he seems to accept that, with a grin. ] Very well. Now that I've met you, I'm feeling a bit hurt, that you wouldn't put me on your team. That is what this is, yes? [ with a lift of his hand, showing lust his golden crown. ]

[probe]

Aw, it's not like that! I would've totally put you on my team if we didn't think you'd fit somewhere else. [but they eye the symbol before there's a "ooooh" sound under their breath.]

You're with Pride! I'm sure you'll get to meet them soon. Just don't get too discouraged if it takes a little while, okay?

[liuli]

Oh, where I fit - are you calling me prideful? [ he puts his hand to his heart, now. gasp! but it's clearly teasing, his eyes twinkling. ] I think that could be an insult!

[ teehee. ] I'm a very patient man, so I'm sure that won't be a problem.

If I'm to call them Pride, then you would be...?

[probe]

We're still getting to know each other, but I don't think pride's a bad thing at all. It's important to be proud of yourself, don't you think?

[truly awful that lust is very charmed by gu yun right now.] You can call me Lust. Nice to meet you!

[liuli]

[ snaps rhythmically towards whichever mod this is ]

Certainly true.

Then, Lust, hm? Once I get to know you a little better, I'd love to learn what earned you that name, too. [ he winks! fufu. ]

It's a pleasure to meet you, too - you already must know that I'm Gu Yun. Will you be staying 'downstairs' with us, for some time, then? Or have you some other means to get back where you were that isn't... ah. Aflame?

[probe]

We'll see! [it's flirtatious and also vague at the same time, but they seem at ease anyway.]

I'm not sure just yet, but I think we're gonna have to go back up eventually. Especially since the other four are still up there. I'm sure the elevator will be fine though.

[liuli]

I'm sure we will. [ who knows what lust is lusting for! bow chicka wow wow.

anyway. interesting... ] If things in this place get destroyed, do they often get fixed? It seems as though some of our companions have been very poorly behaved.

[probe]

[fuck around and find out, gu yun. but anyway!]

I think it depends on what's getting destroyed. Sometimes things get fixed and sometimes we have to fix them and sometimes they're just left to be broken. But it kind of says a lot about some of you that your first instinct was to trash this place.

[liuli]

[ he always does!!

he tsks. terrible, terrible people! ] It does, doesn't it? I can't imagine what that's like.

[ since lust is like, on envy's back, gu yun has to stand on his tiptoes, but he does, and puts his hand in front of their faces (or the area where lust's face approximately is in this hood) to cover up his very secret whisper. very secret. envy is right there. ] Do you know who those 'some of us' were already? Do tell.

Hm...we know some things, but other things happened when we weren't looking. You guys can't be sneaky forever though!

[liuli]

Oh, is that so? Some of us are very sneaky - does that not include you all?

[ this comes with a playful tug to their cloak near the shoulder. ]

[probe]

Heyyy. We've gotta keep some secrets to ourselves, don't we? That's what makes this game fun!

[liuli]

Fair enough! I suppose we all have our secrets. What's life without a little mystery?

[ he'll step back a bit again, no longer whispering these secret secrets. ]

So, it may yet take some time to meet the others - that's quite alright, if they're shy. Is this 'texting' device the only way to reach out to them? If they're half as charming as you are, I should hope to meet the rest soon.

I knew you'd understand. You just have that kind of energy about you.

It's one of the easiest ways! I think we're still getting the phones set up so you guys can reach out to us, but don't get discouraged if some of the others don't answer right away! I'm sure you'll get to meet them face to face sometime later, too.

Interesting. You know, I feel a bit more at ease, now - thank you so very much for your help. How does it feel to be down here among us instead of watching? Are we worth the wait?

[probe]

You bet! [gu yun passes the vibe check for now.]

It was always gonna be worth the wait. I like getting to talk to people more than reading about them. I just hope we were worth the wait, too.

[liuli]

So far? [ immediately, he smiles, all peach blossom eyes and flirtatious charm. ] Absolutely.

I do hope you'll be staying with us for a bit, Lust. Don't be in too much of a hurry to go back so soon.

[probe]

[they don't quite say so, but their body language is enough to show that they're pleased with that answer even as their cloak shifts behind them again.]

I won't! We'll stay here as long as we can, and after we leave we'll find ways to stay in touch and spend time together. There's still so much I want to talk to you guys about and learn from you.
