Good morning, starshines. It is another beautiful day here on the base, and it’s the start of a new week!

Good thing, too. After the deaths of Steven A Starphase, Luca Valentino, Vlad Masters and Tamotsu Fukuda, the tension around the base may be a bit higher than it was before. Should anyone try to contact the deceased or review their profiles, they will find that they have been deleted from everyone's phones.

Perhaps you expect this by now, but it seems that the elevator reveals that it may now visit the fourth floor. It may be worth checking out these new areas, free for exploration. If you're feeling incredibly ambitious, you can also take a more in-depth look.

While you can't contact the deceased, the Avatars are once again available via their eight symbols. Shoot them a message, have a chat with them, and see what you can learn. Perhaps you'll find it easier this week.

And even easier still, your memories have stopped leaking all over the place. Goodness. What an ordeal that was, trying to explain those nasty little parts of you you never wanted to share. But speaking of sharing...sharing your indulgence isn't necessarily a bad thing, is it? After all, your aspect hasn't been a secret to anyone since your arrival. The thing about people, however, is that even though it was simple to assign you to one little sin, there may be multiple that apply to you.

This week, not only will you find yourself compelled to indulge more heavily than usual, those lesser aspects of yours will begin to rear their ugly heads. The desire to repeatedly act on your main, secondary and even your third aspects will take hold this week in new ways you normally wouldn't even consider, encouraging you to share and indulge however you want without consequence.

He knows all of the basic commands and then some. Given his unique abilities, on occasion I've set up an obstacle course for him to test his agility.

[greed's busy watching grace and their dog for a moment.] You could ask him yourself if you're curious.

[alteracion]

Ask him myself...?

[ grace has to take a moment to pause and realize greed probably does not mean the dog can talk. probably. so instead she stops petting it to start simple: ]

Maus! Sit.

[probe]

[the dog cannot talk, but maus immediately sits! he sits up nice and tall like he's waiting for his next command. greed, meanwhile, watches to see what grace does next.]

[alteracion]

[ grace is starting to wonder if greed thinks she is going to punt the dog. but she ignores that and is clearly trying to think of other normal dog tricks ]

Good boy. Um... Lie down? Roll over?

[probe]

[gestures to grace in general. but anyway. maus immediately lies down on his belly before rolling with perfect grace and standing up again, tail wagging eagerly.

he barks at grace for another trick though.]

See? [greed is mostly just pleased their dog is smart.]

[alteracion]

[ don't @ her. anyway she laughs and pets the dog ]

You're right, he is smart. Did you teach him these or does he just know? [ and since the dog wants it so bad: ] Okay, give me your paw!

[probe]

I trained all of them. [but maus sits up right away and slaps his paw into grace's hand. shake? he knows shake.] It wasn't a surprise knowing this floor would open up eventually, and I can only imagine the damage you would all cause if they were disobedient.

[alteracion]

[ shakes and-- ] Other paw! [ but right, greed is still here ] There'll be destruction anyway, but you're not wrong. So, out of all of them, Maus is your favorite, then?

[probe]

[other paw!! also no please ignore greed, they are actually content letting grace play with maus and not talking.]

Less destruction then. [but they nod anyway.] Maus is the most loyal.

[alteracion]

Loyalty's important. But he's also the cutest, right? [ there's dog stuff all over so you know what. it's time to throw a random ball for maus ] Fetch!

[probe]

[maus barks and immediately yeets himself after the ball at top-speeds, greed turning to watch briefly.]

I had one similar to him as a child. So, I suppose that's part of it.

[alteracion]

The same breed and everything? [ she sits down, cross legged as she waits for maus to come back with the ball ] That's cute. I never had a pet... My parents weren't into it.

[ it's idle in thought ]

[probe]

Yes. [maus come back with the ball, dropping it in grace's lap and patiently waiting for her to throw it again.] It was more of an incidental circumstance when I found him, but I was allowed to keep him.

[and normally greed would just let the conversation rest because they're a chatty person, but. attempts.] Did you ever want one?

[alteracion]

[ he doesn't have to wait for long before she throws it again before shrugging at greed, tone dismissive now ]

Sure. All kids want a puppy, right? But I never got one. And then being on the train was cooler than having a pet, so. It didn't matter anymore.

[probe]

[hm. maus doesn't know anything because even if he's a smart boy his brain is still probably the size of a walnut, so he only knows to fetch.

greed, meanwhile, has their arms folded as they watch maus run.]

There's more to having a pet than it being something "cool", Miss Monroe. Then again your train sounds like absolute hell.

[alteracion]

What do they call it? Different strokes? [ maus is a good boy and grace loves him. she doesn't say anything about the specifics of having a pet, though, because yes greed, she knows. god. ] It's not the safest place, but it's ours.

[probe]

Something to that effect. [maus is really just going to play as long as grace will play with him.]

I suppose...I can't really imagine being in one place for that long without an option to go anywhere else.

[alteracion]

It doesn't feel like one place. Every car is different. [ she's going to keep playing fetch with maus because he's perfect and deserves it, but: ] So you traveled a lot before?

[probe]

And yet it's still consistent in the fact that you're on a train itself. [maus deserves so many nice things and greed does not, actually. but they not.]

I travel often enough. I've lived abroad for a few years as well, on and off. It was a necessity.

[alteracion]

I guess? [ what does consistent with being on a train even mean when only notion she is is when she steps out of the cars. well, whatever. dog is more important ]

Abroad, huh? Where was that?

[probe]

[the inability to leave despite having multiple cars sounds hellish. especially if you're constantly with the same people.]

Europe, mostly.

[alteracion]

[ i cannot legally defend simon, so. ]

Oooh, fancy. Ever go to Paris? Or Italy?

[probe]

Once or twice. Travel to different parts of Europe is much easier than traveling through America.

[alteracion]

Because it's smaller. [ she has READ BOOKS despite her middle school only education ] Yeah, makes sense.

[probe]

Exactly that. It wasn't exactly a vacation, but there were days here and there that allowed for travel. I almost miss it in a way.
