WEEK 2 TRIAL
POPULATION: 28
Rise and shine, little sinners. Did you rest well? Hope you weren't too perturbed by the events of the day before. Things seem to be perfectly normal throughout your morning, but at 12pm, everyone will receive a mass text message to their phone.
Whether you agree or disagree, soon you will find yourself physically moving toward the conference room on the bottom floor, filing into the room and taking a seat in one of the vacant chairs. Two metal boxes sit at the end of each table along with a collection of pens and colored notecards. At the head of the room, Greed, Wrath, Despair and Sloth patiently wait as the TV above them displays a message.
Once the last participant enters the room, the door will swing closed behind them and lock them inside.
Greed is seated at the end of the table with a series of papers in their hands. Wrath is sitting sideways in a chair, leaning against Despair, feet in Greed's lap, with their phone out, taking selfies. Despair seems to be holding still to allow this. Sloth is dead asleep, head down on the table and snoring. When some of the last few people enter, they startle awake suddenly with a yelp which gets everyone's attention.
"Ahh, I'm up! Wow, it's time already?! You guys have 9 long hours to figure everything out!"
Hello, and welcome to your third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the events of the day before! While mini-investigations were held yesterday, today is the day characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, while voting is not mandatory, we do have a voting page should characters wish to vote! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST) if you wish to vote.

SINCE LAW'S OVER AT THE CHAIRS AND COUCHES Mahito will follow this weird trail of large, wet, squishy???? Footprints over in the direction they came from. Is there any blood or other su...bstances along the trail or is it just water? Once he reaches the hot tub's edge, is there anything strange that's immediately visible on the outside of it? Blood, damage around the edges, evidence of hankypanky? i'm putting off looking into the water mom i hate it here]

[Lenore's going to walk up to the hot tub alongside Mahito, careful not to disturb the footprints along the way, and look inside the tub.]

[ law doesn't need to perceive the hot tub!!!! the hot tub is being covered by the nice vampire lady and a flea. though, given that we have no way to "save" the footprint, law will use his foot as a measure and also compare lenore's and mahito's feet to the footprint as they walk by. who is the closets in terms of size?

just kidding. all of the water is rusty red. it isn't opaque, but there's a good bit floating around in there. nice! the footprints by the hot tub are huge globs of water, though there's a small one on one side of them.
the watery footprint is a lot bigger than law's. the television is thankfully fine, aside from the porn. the side tables don't have anything wrong with them either. looks like law will have to strengthen his resolve and, in fact, look at the sexy hot tub.]

WELL SINCE LENORE IS doing the very good work of actually looking inside the tub for the time being, Mahito will take a closer look at the footprints. Do the huge globs of water look like they're from the same trail as the rest of the prints? How far away from the huge globs is the small glob, and to which side? How small is the small glob compared to the big ones? He'll also set his foot next to that one just to compare unless it's like the size of a golf ball or something.]

but fine, only one place in the common room for law to check before he makes it over to the hot tub!!! he'll take a look over at the bar to see if anything is out of place over here. any broken glass or the like? mods telling me to go back to the hot tub but i'm here to be thorough. pending if that results in a lot of nothing as well, law will join the others by the hot tub.

there isn't anything on the walls, nope!
the water and the red liquid are mixed together everywhere in the hot tub, very dirty. there isn't anything on the sides, and there isn't anything floating in the water, or at the bottom.
the small water blob is on the outside of the tub on the right of the larger ones. like a lil splat with tendrils! when mahito looks, he can tell it kind of looks like a hand shape. which means it's a bit smaller than mahito's foot.
the big water blobs match the direction of the others, but the ones here are a lot heavier and wider than the ones closer to the door.]

when law tests the blob, he will find that it's water! it feels luke warm, and when he rubs it between his fingers, he can tell that it's very faintly red water.

sloth floats back from the door to let them out. the watery prints have become less blobs and more like footprints here. they are still pretty large. they head in the direction of the med bay.
but when they look after the prints heading in that direction, they will notice something black lying scattered from the door to the elevator.]

And then following along. How far can he follow the trail? He'll go as far as he can before trotting back over to join everyone else at the something black, keeping an eye out for anything suspicious along the walls OR ON THE CEILING as he goes.]

nothing else is out of place, not even on the ceiling, except for the black scraps lenore examines.
they are shreds of black clothing. probably of the sexy variety going by how sheer exaggerated some of the pieces are. there's just shreds of them here and there stopping at the elevator.]
