WEEK 2 TRIAL
POPULATION: 28
Rise and shine, little sinners. Did you rest well? Hope you weren't too perturbed by the events of the day before. Things seem to be perfectly normal throughout your morning, but at 12pm, everyone will receive a mass text message to their phone.
Whether you agree or disagree, soon you will find yourself physically moving toward the conference room on the bottom floor, filing into the room and taking a seat in one of the vacant chairs. Two metal boxes sit at the end of each table along with a collection of pens and colored notecards. At the head of the room, Greed, Wrath, Despair and Sloth patiently wait as the TV above them displays a message.
Once the last participant enters the room, the door will swing closed behind them and lock them inside.
Greed is seated at the end of the table with a series of papers in their hands. Wrath is sitting sideways in a chair, leaning against Despair, feet in Greed's lap, with their phone out, taking selfies. Despair seems to be holding still to allow this. Sloth is dead asleep, head down on the table and snoring. When some of the last few people enter, they startle awake suddenly with a yelp which gets everyone's attention.
"Ahh, I'm up! Wow, it's time already?! You guys have 9 long hours to figure everything out!"
Hello, and welcome to your third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the events of the day before! While mini-investigations were held yesterday, today is the day characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, while voting is not mandatory, we do have a voting page should characters wish to vote! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST) if you wish to vote.

sloth floats back from the door to let them out. the watery prints have become less blobs and more like footprints here. they are still pretty large. they head in the direction of the med bay.
but when they look after the prints heading in that direction, they will notice something black lying scattered from the door to the elevator.]

he'll also examine the surrounding area for anything that might stand out immediately before joining lenore by the "something black" by the elevator as well. ]

[Mahito is distracted by Judas for like a second, waving up as the cat and portal disappear...
And then following along. How far can he follow the trail? He'll go as far as he can before trotting back over to join everyone else at the something black, keeping an eye out for anything suspicious along the walls OR ON THE CEILING as he goes.]

nothing else is out of place, not even on the ceiling, except for the black scraps lenore examines.
they are shreds of black clothing. probably of the sexy variety going by how sheer exaggerated some of the pieces are. there's just shreds of them here and there stopping at the elevator.]

also law won't like the fact that mahito won't be able to get into the med bay from all of this. hmmm.... is the black clothing shredded in a way that's cleanly done or like someone was ripping at it?

Anyway when Mahito is forbidden from further investigating, he'll just lean down to look at the shreds, too, carefully picking a scrap up by the corner. How big are these pieces?]
Yeah, that's pretty weird. We might wanna tell someone to take a look up one floor, too, or at least check inside there.

but law will do a little curse when he's not allowed into the med bay. excuse me? the med bay has done nothing but curse him these past few days?? CAN A DOCTOR GET A BREAK? nevertheless, since mods say there's nothing else to find he won't look for anything else.
however, how is the footprint impression made? is it like a kicking-in motion (vertical) or of thing or something more side ways like someone was kicking someone else? also...say...law would kick the wall the same way, how easy would it be for him to do so? ]

the prints are liquidy and made with water, not anything else. they are on the floor from the common room to the med bay, as if made by walking, getting thinner and harder to see the closer they get.
they're all vertical on the floor. just... large?]
