Good morning, starshines. It is another beautiful day here on the base and it’s the start of a new week!

After the events of the day before and the meet and greet provided by four new Avatars, you may find yourself wondering how you can get in touch with them again. Fear not. One look at your handy dandy cell phone will reveal eight new contacts added to your directory. Feel free to shoot them a message. You may be surprised.

But before you get too far, perhaps it’s worth checking out the base once more. Those locked rooms from the days before have been unlocked, free for exploration. In addition, should occupants visit the central elevator they will find the elevator in working order (and flame-free) and that a new floor has opened. Take a look, familiarize yourself, and make yourself comfortable. Life on the base is a happy place.

And speaking of happiness…it’s funny. For the rest of the week, all who reside on the base will be inflicted with little feelings of hope and happiness, a belief that they can manifest almost anything. This week, all will discover that any mundane thing they hope for will be at their disposal...though do be careful. Those small wishes may come to fruition in ways you don't expect. For example, wishing for a year's supply of sushi may net you one astronomically large sushi roll. An eyeshadow palette may provide you with samples of actual colored eyelids. And a punching bag could be mistaken for a bag full of confetti instead.

[There is no concern for anything outside the boat either. Luca's immediate concerns are things within the boat.]

[Oh look here's a tentacle! It's totally grabbing Luca's ankle and making him yelp and jump forward. Catch him, Nathan.]

[ Nathan doesn't seem bothered, up until the tentacle oh so rudely interrupts. Putting their hands on either side of their cheeks. ]

Oh no! There really was a monster in there.

[ Catch who again? Please. Nathan has to act a little scare first before being the hero. Hopefully Luca can think fast. ]

[Luca cannot think fast.

He's landing on the side of the boat and the wind is getting knocked right out of him. The only reason he's not in the inky black water right now is because he manages to hold onto the boat somehow.

The tentacle is tugging on his ankle and trying to drag him into the water.]

[ Okay, time for playing at damsel is over. That boat rocks as they move to grab Luca. ]

Hold on, Handsome, I got you. Let him go, you beast! [ And then much more quietly: ] Why don't my powers work here?

[ Do they have to touch it??? Yuuuck. Making a face, while doing their best to hold on to the noodle. ]

Do I look like I'm hiding a weapon in this outfit?

[ A beat. ] I did bring with me that boob that came in our little goodie bags.

[ Should they throw a stress ball at the tentacle ]

Then throw it already!

[Because now Luca is getting dragged to the other side of the boat. He'll get dragged into the drink shortly if the tentacle doesn't let go.]

Okay okay! Don't rush me.

[ Nathan is going to close their eyes and throw the stress ball as hard as they can at the tentacles. Tentacles meet tit. Titacles. ]

Did I get it?!

[Titacles.

It works to get the tentacle to let go though, and Luca flops down into the boat as the tentacle slips back into the water.]

...

We need to get out of this tunnel. Now.

[ Victory! ]

I still got it.

[ Oh. Right. There's still tentacles every where. ]

Maybe we can paddle this thing back- [ Nathan is looking back and immediately lets out a yell as they cover their ears. ]

Okay! I'll stop looking!

[ Not that they can hear if they get a response or not at the moment ]

[Luca looks back as soon as Nathan does, and soon he's covering his ears and facing forward too.]

Paddle forward instead!

[He is. Reaching his hand down to the water.

And then he pulls it back screaming because inky black water.]

Huh? Care to repeat that?

[ Then they see the water ]

Think that happened when I hit it with the tit?

I don't know! Just get it off me!

[He's waving his arm around to try to get the inky water off.

Since they're looking forward, he doesn't see all the tentacles pop out of the water behind the two of them. But he hears it, and he abruptly stops.

And he looks to Nathan, abject horror on his face.]
