Good morning, starshines. It is another beautiful day here on the base and it’s the start of a new week!

After the events of the day before and the meet and greet provided by four new Avatars, you may find yourself wondering how you can get in touch with them again. Fear not. One look at your handy dandy cell phone will reveal eight new contacts added to your directory. Feel free to shoot them a message. You may be surprised.

But before you get too far, perhaps it’s worth checking out the base once more. Those locked rooms from the days before have been unlocked, free for exploration. In addition, should occupants visit the central elevator they will find the elevator in working order (and flame-free) and that a new floor has opened. Take a look, familiarize yourself, and make yourself comfortable. Life on the base is a happy place.

And speaking of happiness…it’s funny. For the rest of the week, all who reside on the base will be inflicted with little feelings of hope and happiness, a belief that they can manifest almost anything. This week, all will discover that any mundane thing they hope for will be at their disposal...though do be careful. Those small wishes may come to fruition in ways you don't expect. For example, wishing for a year's supply of sushi may net you one astronomically large sushi roll. An eyeshadow palette may provide you with samples of actual colored eyelids. And a punching bag could be mistaken for a bag full of confetti instead.

for the first time since arriving here, gu yun flinches, his shoulders tensing backwards. he doesn't move, otherwise, though, his expression rapidly hardening as he looks straight ahead. ]

i'm sorry to say that while grace and gu yun are being good and exercising self-restraint, white IMMEDIATELY throws it out the window and looks back.]

[—AND THEN HE FUCKING YELLS because that sure is an alligator coming towards their boat??]

[ that's fine, grace would've cracked next because she definitely heard her kid and that's awful, but instead she turns and just, uh, screams ]

[ THIS IS YOUR FAULT ENTIRELY NOW and she's standing up reflexively and trying to back away in the small space. hopefully this swan boat has good balance but also, probably not, it's a swan boat ]

[ wow gu yun heard his kid too and he didnt crack come on now

ANYWAY at least they can blame it on white! gu yun doesn't groan, but he whips around too, immediately grabbing white's collar in case he's about to go jumping off the back of the boat after whoever this lucy person is, because he is fairly sure that voice isn't real, and - ]

What the hell is that! [ you know who's never seen an alligator before?! gu yun! ever! fuck! the gator is immediately starting to gain on their boat. ] Don't - [ AUGH FUCK ] Get in front! White, get on that side!

[ he will. take the back, pushing grace forward so she's backed away and towards the front of the swan boat, and releasing his hold on white so he can stand next to her, so they don't maybe bring the entire boat down.

despite being, generally, an asshole, he's putting himself first in line to be gator food, ready to kick this thing in the snout if he has to. ]

Why the fuck is there an alligator here!?

[but he's going to move to the side a bit—mainly so he has room to remove his giantass sword from his back.

anyway that alligator is climbing onto the boat now. yaaaay.]

[ she's fine being in the back these guys can be sacrificed to the alligator gods. or, well, singular god. and fine, okay, she'll help: ]

Go for the nose or the eyes and steer clear of the mouth! [ why does she know this. don't ask. it's maybe obvious but she's busy not wanting to be eaten thanks ]

oh white has a sword? never mind fuck that he can protect himself. gu yun shifts to protect grace instead of also white, instead looking to see if they can move this boat any faster! it does not move any faster. ]

You heard her! [ barked like a true marshal tbh. good luck white! the gator is putting its big scary gator feet on the back of the boat now. ]

[THANKS white will deal with the mess he created in the first place

he's going to go and slash at this poor (?) alligator's eyes, as per grace's suggestion!!]

[ thanks gu yun you're her favorite. except you know what's heavy? an alligator. you know what has a pretty precarious balance? a swan boat. so grace is trying to kind of climb the head of the swan to counterbalance some weight when it starts to tip? luckily for everyone grace has excellent balance. unluckily she weighs nothing. nothing at all. ]

Get it off! If we fall in the water we're dead!

[ who thought it was a good idea to make a boat shaped like a swan? who thought an alligator was a good thing to keep in the river? gu yun has decided he hates alligators.

he can't go far without making this even worse, either. another step towards giant gator means their boat's capsizing. gu yun grabs onto the neck of the stupid boat and pushes all of his weight towards the neck in an attempt to stabilize it more. he's also a stupid twink but at least he's a muscled stupid twink. ]

[ barking in that same i'm the marquis of order voice ] Stun it on the nose so it falls off!

I'm doing my best! Fuck!

[white jumps back when the alligator snaps at him, unfortunately allowing it to gain some ground, before he swings his sword at its noise. bonk again, except the sharper edition.]

[ well grace is kind of stuck in her decision making since they are counting on white to save the day and she is now precariously on top of the swan boat, so. she is just going to complain now ]

There's nothing indulgent about this!

[ i'm so glad not a single one of them remembers that they're in the simulation room. ]

[ he's a little occupied with trying to keep them all from being capsized and/or eaten. ]

Try harder! [ however, maybe, this time, he bonks it hard enough? i hope the gator just falls directly into the boat and sends them all flying. ]

[WHITE IS VERY DISTRESSED RIGHT NOW

but sure, he slashes at the alligator and it conveniently falls in a way that capsizes the boat. oops.]

[ SCREAMING

that's it that's the tag because she has no chance to not be thrown off when she was on the head of the swan but she will grab at whatever she can. which is probably gu yun rip ]

the death of gu yun's dignity occurs as they are all thrown directly overboard. he probably could've kept his footing, but grace grabbed on and nope. goodbye. down he goes.

he will at least grab onto her so she doesn't go floating down this simulation river and pop his head up for air a second later, looking around for the fucking gator immediately and putting his other hand on the boat to try and flip it back over before they end up gator food. ]

[white perishes goodbye

but okay no it's uh very awkward to try and float while holding onto a sword and also having to still, like, try and whack an alligator with it just in case.

the boat!!]

[ the good news is grace can help flip the boat back over since gu yun stopped her from going nyoom into the abyss. the bad news is they are in the water with an alligator and also the boat is somehow still on rails, which makes it terrible to flip over. stop moving you stupid boat. the struggle is real but they manage?? ]

Get on, we need to help White back up!

[ white is absolutely going to die rip ]

[ oh for fuck's sake

despite the stupidity of this entire situation, once grace is on the boat, gu yun's about a minute after, leaping over the edge and landing on both feet so he can immediately scurry over and find white. there he is. there's his giant sword.

he grabs onto his jacket at the back of the collar. ] Grace, grab onto the back of my robes and pull.

[ and then starts yanking on white with all of his strength to pull him back onto this stupid fucking boat if he can. hopefully they can save white from seeing the ~~goat~~ pearly gates ]

when white feels something (someone) grabbing onto him, though, he glances back.]

[ grace pushes them both down in the water. bye, bitches.

no, unfortunately she grabs onto the robes like gu yun asked and yanks. she might be weightless but she is apparently all wiry muscles which is good because the stupid sword and waterlogged white are probably heavy. hopefully the alligator does not follow. the boat sways dangerously

and does not capsize again because i flipped a coin. :/ ]

white is way heavier than he has any right to be but between him and grace, they are able to yank him and his sword and not the gator out of the water. gu yun drops on his ass, wipes water off of his face, and complains, ] This is why I hate the navy.
