Good morning, starshines. It is another beautiful day here on the base and it’s the start of a new week!

After the events of the day before and the meet and greet provided by four new Avatars, you may find yourself wondering how you can get in touch with them again. Fear not. One look at your handy dandy cell phone will reveal eight new contacts added to your directory. Feel free to shoot them a message. You may be surprised.

But before you get too far, perhaps it’s worth checking out the base once more. Those locked rooms from the days before have been unlocked, free for exploration. In addition, should occupants visit the central elevator they will find the elevator in working order (and flame-free) and that a new floor has opened. Take a look, familiarize yourself, and make yourself comfortable. Life on the base is a happy place.

And speaking of happiness…it’s funny. For the rest of the week, all who reside on the base will be inflicted with little feelings of hope and happiness, a belief that they can manifest almost anything. This week, all will discover that any mundane thing they hope for will be at their disposal...though do be careful. Those small wishes may come to fruition in ways you don't expect. For example, wishing for a year's supply of sushi may net you one astronomically large sushi roll. An eyeshadow palette may provide you with samples of actual colored eyelids. And a punching bag could be mistaken for a bag full of confetti instead.

[ Hm? Medb looks back when the other two do and wrinkles her nose. Disgusting. Terrible for ruining this boat ride that she was looking forward to. ]

Do you think it'll catch up to us?

[ She doesn't sound too worried for how (probably?) sedate the boat is traveling down the tunnel.

She drums her fingers against the edge of the boat. ]

I don't have a weapon on me.

[ Just her little penguin friend that's chilling on her shoulder but looking way more nervous than Medb. ]

[fluffier]

Me neither.

[ Her tail swishes back and forth anxiously, continuing to stare behind them for a moment more before she slides back down onto the seat. ]

Maybe it ain't a monster... maybe it's a ghost.

[chevaleros]

[ she doesn't spare it a glance; vira keeps her eyes steadfastly forward, brows drawn together for a moment. she doesn't turn to look at the monster, though she's very aware of it splashing about.

can't just enjoy their boat date in peace. she pulls together a cheerful tone, patting the poor penguin on its head. ]

Well, if it's a ghost there's nothing to be done about it. [ why worry! haha. ] Maybe we ought to distract each other.

[fergalicious]

[ The poor penguin looks a little comforted. Vira gets one affection point. Wow.

She laughs. It's not faking it until you make it if you don't actually feel that worried. Even if things feel very real in the simulation room... she hasn't gotten hurt yet. It's fine? ]

Shall we go ahead with the original purpose of this ride?

[ Truly, if they could see what the monster looks like, it could be offended by how ignored it is? ]

[fluffier]

[ It's kind of weird for Yuel to be the only one worried, so she takes a chance to feed off Medb and Vira's easy energy. It could just be a prank after all, and she's not one to be bamboozled.

If they're not worried, it's probably not a big deal. They wouldn't lead her astray. ]

Oh yeah, Gluttony said we gotta do what we're told.

[ She nods, prepared. ]

... What was that anyway?

[chevaleros]

I believe we just need to continue along this ride and keep our eyes forward.

[ yuel do you know what they're doing here

oh well, it's just time for gals being pals. she ignores the increasingly loud splashes behind them, the music echoing ominously as they drift along slowly. ]

Perhaps I can wish something into being to take our mind off the monster for now.

[ she thinks for a moment, wishing for a light to see better with. instead, the boat fills with fireflies and glow worms. oops. ]

[fergalicious]

[ Medb is ready to be helpful and gesture to the bow where the kissing swans are on display. She doesn't like being told what to do, but she doesn't mind kissing.

That is, she was ready until Vira wished glow worms into existence. ]

Ugh! Vira!

[ Her mind is definitely off the monster now. Glowworms are fine from a far away distance, not up and personal like this. She starts kicking them off the boat. Gross! ]

[fluffier]

Whoa—!

[ The boat rocks when Medb starts squirming, and Yuel decides now is the time to jump and try to keep them from capsizing. ]

Hey, don't panic! They're just little critters—

[ Except one flies into her mouth while she's yelling and oh god now she's choking. ]

[chevaleros]

[ does medb not like bugs? that's kind of cute. but no, there's worms to deal with, no time to be gay. ]

Oh, hm.

[ HM. yuel seems incapacitated, too. ]

I don't suppose we should wish for something to get rid of them...

[fergalicious]

[ If Medb wished for something, it'd sink this ship because she wants the bugs to be crushed, but in between Yuel indulging on some protein and the mass of bioluminescent insects, the splashing of the water seems to grow in volume. ]

I don't think we need to wish for anything. Our ugly ghost wants to do it for us.

[ Never mind that they're likely included in what the monster wants to get rid of.

Does this boat come with an oar? ]

[fluffier]

[ How does Medb know that it's ugly? Is it because only ugly people hate lesbians?

Anyway, ] Ugh!

[ She finally hacks out the bug, stomping her foot in frustration. ]

This is really gettin' on my nerves!

[ Sensibility doesn't stop her from wishing all the bugs would disappear. And so a gentle breeze picks up...

Which quickly becomes a howling hurricane that transforms their love boat into a love rocket. ]

[chevaleros]

[ i can't believe this ghost is homophobic ]

Ah!

[ there's probably an oar, but vira's not going to be able to grab it because now she's clutching onto this terrible little boat for dear life. the bugs are flying everywhere. time for more protein. ]

[fergalicious]

[ can’t believe they’re being discriminated against.

medb lets out a small scream as the love rocket hurtles down the tunnel and then claps a hand over her mouth. she refuses to eat a glow worm. she’s already getting angry because of how the bugs are going to get in her hair and how they’re all going to look like a windshield after a long drive on the interstate.

she makes a wish for something to stop them and a huge wheel of cheese falls from above. because medb automatically reacts whenever cheese in in her vicinity by trying to kick it

she falls off the boat and into the river.

splash! ]

[fluffier]

[ They jerk to a stop when the wheel of cheese comes for them, nearing falling forward.

But she doesn't. Unlike Medb. ]

Oh no!

[ She throws herself over the side of the boat so that she can grab onto Medb and yank her back... Except she can't quite the leverage, so she's just left dangling over the edge while desperately holding onto Medb. ]

[chevaleros]

[ Something is still chasing them, but they are suitably distracted by this disaster of their own creation.

Vira yelps as the cheese plummets down on them, boat rocking with the commotion. ]

Medb—Yuel!

[ she tries to grab them too, but then the cheese rolls around and launches them all out the boat anyway. she screams a lil. goodbye. ]

[fergalicious]

[ she sputters as her head comes up and out of the water, doing her best to cling to yuel as a lifesaver.

except they're all thrown out? ]

Oh, come on!

[ awful last words. she yelps, still holding onto the other two as she falls back.

they're going to get vored by this homophobic ghost, its splashes nearing the splashes they're making. ]

[fluffier]

[ Well, this is going about as well as expected. Yuel gasps to the surface, shaking the water out of ears when she notices that the cheese had rolled off the boat after issuing it's tpk. ]

The cheese!

[ She swims toward it struggling to lift it up as the splashing of the Creechur steadily grows more excited.

With considerable effort, she whips it in the direction of the monster. ]

Happy Valentine's Day!!

[chevaleros]

[ this is the worst date imaginable. however, the cheese wheel thunks in the distance, joined by a pained howl and the creepy music starting to glitch out in the background.

vira quickly gets to her feet, helping pull medb up while yuel 'protects' them. ]

We can wade the rest of the way.

[ actually, that's looking to be their only option, because their boat suddenly crashes into a pile of rocks. looks like there's a cave-in up ahead. ]

[fergalicious]

[ She'd be almost impressed with Yuel, if it weren't cheese. With Vira's help, Medb's up and out? Except not really thanks to a cave in. The indignation that emanates off of Medb is too much. Her entitlement knows no bounds.

The monster being cheesed is not enough. ]

—Wait, it's Valentine's Day?

[ Is that what's so important? ]

Oh, never mind that, but do you think we can get around all these rocks? Or do we have to climb up and over them?

[ She's ignoring how the tunnel is alive with the sounds of pain. ]

[fluffier]

[ Yuel could ask care less about the sounds of pain, though she does shoot Vira a mildly miffed look for not helping her out at all??

She stares at the rocks, and then looks up. ]

It ain't that tall, we can just climb up.

[ Except when she tries to do just that, she immediately slips on the lube and ends up smashing her face into them. RIP. ]

[chevaleros]

[ she was helping medb, yuel's got this with her strong yet slender arms.

except now she's faceplanted into a boulder. ]

Yuel!!

[ she goes to peel their poor fox off the rocks. ]

[fergalicious]

[ Yeah, obviously, Medb is the important one here. --Medb, definitely. ]

Yuel? Is it because it's wet?

[ Please sound more concerned. She carefully tries to make her way towards the poor fox, too, while looking at the rocks with some suspicion. ]

[fluffier]

Ish shlippery.

[ She tearfully reports, rubbing her nose and all but collapsing onto Vira. ]

[chevaleros]

[ she awkwardly pats yuel as she holds her, though she shifts so she can run her fingertips over one of the rocks, which does indeed look wet.

she immediately deadeyes the cave in. ]

...I think we'll have a difficult time climbing this normally.

[ angry splashes in the distance ]

[ Medb squints. ]

It looks like...

[ She shakes her head. ]

We'll have to overcome it unless we want to be stuck with that ugly thing.
