Good morning, starshines. It is another beautiful day here on the base and it’s the start of a new week!

After the events of the day before and the meet and greet provided by four new Avatars, you may find yourself wondering how you can get in touch with them again. Fear not. One look at your handy dandy cell phone will reveal eight new contacts added to your directory. Feel free to shoot them a message. You may be surprised.

But before you get too far, perhaps it’s worth checking out the base once more. Those locked rooms from the days before have been unlocked, free for exploration. In addition, should occupants visit the central elevator they will find the elevator in working order (and flame-free) and that a new floor has opened. Take a look, familiarize yourself, and make yourself comfortable. Life on the base is a happy place.

And speaking of happiness…it’s funny. For the rest of the week, all who reside on the base will be inflicted with little feelings of hope and happiness, a belief that they can manifest almost anything. This week, all will discover that any mundane thing they hope for will be at their disposal...though do be careful. Those small wishes may come to fruition in ways you don't expect. For example, wishing for a year's supply of sushi may net you one astronomically large sushi roll. An eyeshadow palette may provide you with samples of actual colored eyelids. And a punching bag could be mistaken for a bag full of confetti instead.

That's not what I said. But a generic threat when you don't know who did it isn't going to work, that's all I'm saying.

Seems to be more of an attempt at deterring them than I've seen anyone else do.

What do you suggest, then?

You should've figured out who did it, first thing. If you didn't figure it out the first time around, why would they think you can any time after?

Well, I'm most certainly recruiting people on the anti-bullshit team to keep this kind of thing from happening again.

I'm one person in a group of 36 others.

[alteracion]

Fair enough. [ she tilts her head a bit ] But I almost thought you were aiming for a leadership role, with that speech.

[kokytos]

[ GOD. IT ALWAYS COMES BACK TO THIS. ]

...I'm the subcommander to the chief of my organization back home. I suppose it's an ingrained habit at this point?

[alteracion]

Subcommander to the chief... so, pretty much the second in command? That explains the attitude for sure.

[kokytos]

I suppose so. [ Even better yet, subcommander is just his official title. He actually does 99% of the actual leadership and commanding in this organization, he is definitely head honcho. Regardless, he shakes his head and sighs. ]

People don't have to listen to me -- I'm nobody's boss here. But I can say I tried.

[alteracion]

Being the boss of everyone could be an indulgence if you wanted it to be.

[kokytos]

...If only I had the right indulgence for that... That would probably be categorized under something like Wrath or Pride, wouldn't it.

[ Unfortunately, he waves the back of his hand at her -- the bluest blue mark. ] If anything, I might be going against my supposed indulgence by trying to set things straight.

[alteracion]

Oh, despair. [ she tuts a bit ] Well, it's not quite sloth, so you're not going fully against it... you could always say you're indulging in the despair of a futile fight against the group?

[kokytos]

I hate that so much. [ WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT. AND YET, YOU'RE RIGHT. ]

Maybe I should just give up and take a nap next time.

[alteracion]

[ she's helping? she laughs a bit ]

Is that despair, or sloth?

[kokytos]

If it's a lazy nap, then it's Sloth.
If it's a "hate everything, goodbye" nap, then it's Despair.

Right?

[alteracion]

Mmm... Maybe? I guess true sloth is not caring about anything at all, so hating things should be despair. Or wrath, sometimes.

[kokytos]

[ He nods. ]

I think the simplest way to differentiate the latter would be whether aggression or acting hatred comes out of it. Meanwhile, despair would be debilitating.

...What's your indulgence, if you don't mind me asking?

[alteracion]

[ oh. she shows off her own hand-- she's still wearing her gloves, but it glows through it, so, she's got them purple scales ]

Greed. So I just need to want things, I guess. [ want ALL the things, to be specific, ]

[kokytos]

Well, that at least seems pretty straightforward. Want things you don't have, want more than what you already have, yeah?

You wouldn't happen to be one of the people who's been taking stuff from the common rooms, would you? [ He doesn't sound accusatory though. Kind of mildly amused? ]

[alteracion]

What, like the seventeen knives or literally all the bleach? [ she kind of laughs ] Sure. I'm hoarding it all up in my room like a shrine to weirdness.

[kokytos]

Well, you never know. We've yet to see what Greed looks like to my knowledge, they could definitely be a weirdo.

...Seriously though, why all the bleach. [ COME ON. ]

[alteracion]

Aren't they all kind of weirdos so far?

[ the judgment is real. speaking of: ]

I don't know! But at least we've still got the rest of the detergent? Who knows what they're planning with that bleach, though.

[kokytos]

Fair enough. The cult robes don't help them.

[ He puts a hand on his forehead. And sighs. ]

Bleach is a dangerous chemical, having all of it just be... gone by who knows is, to say the least, a little concerning.

[alteracion]

Hooded robes are so out of fashion.

[ this is her agreeing cult robes bad. but: ]

Hopefully they just... really like to be clean?
