Good morning, starshines. It is another beautiful day here on the base and it’s the start of a new week!

After the events of the day before and the meet and greet provided by four new Avatars, you may find yourself wondering how you can get in touch with them again. Fear not. One look at your handy dandy cell phone will reveal eight new contacts added to your directory. Feel free to shoot them a message. You may be surprised.

But before you get too far, perhaps it’s worth checking out the base once more. Those locked rooms from the days before have been unlocked, free for exploration. In addition, should occupants visit the central elevator they will find the elevator in working order (and flame-free) and that a new floor has opened. Take a look, familiarize yourself, and make yourself comfortable. Life on the base is a happy place.

And speaking of happiness…it’s funny. For the rest of the week, all who reside on the base will be inflicted with little feelings of hope and happiness, a belief that they can manifest almost anything. This week, all will discover that any mundane thing they hope for will be at their disposal...though do be careful. Those small wishes may come to fruition in ways you don't expect. For example, wishing for a year's supply of sushi may net you one astronomically large sushi roll. An eyeshadow palette may provide you with samples of actual colored eyelids. And a punching bag could be mistaken for a bag full of confetti instead.

[What. Why does Limbo get a skeleton friend and not her. She's a little startled to see it at first, and then curious; she'll walk over to inspect it more closely. It's made of paper?]

What is this? Did you bring it with you?

[Not at all! The "face" is made of paper, but the clothes are real, and the bones seem like actual bones, though the hands that are folded in its lap seem very real. This skeleton friend doesn't react to the observation, either way.]

That's Akimitsu-dono. I found him in the box which I had in my room when I arrived.

[She makes a little bit of a face, because Harrow finds it twee when people give nicknames to their skeleton constructs. But she doesn't say anything about it.]

Did you make. . . him?

[Harrow.................Harrow.....................well, Douman will explain shortly.]

Yes, and no. I knew Akimitsu-dono when he was alive. This, however, is the form of his lingering spirit.

[bonetiddies]

Ah. So he's a spirit attached to the bones. How fascinating.

[commedia]

Exactly. He's a very powerful spirit. Which makes it such a shame that he's decided to go to sleep.

[bonetiddies]

I'm sure it's related to the decision to block all of our abilities. I wasn't able to sense his presence myself.

He is lovely to look at. I should like to see him move.

[commedia]

I agree with that. And you think so? [They smile wider at the compliment.] Haha, I'm sure he would appreciate that! Maybe I can figure out a way to have him do that, despite everything...

[bonetiddies]

Yes. I've witnesses skeletons that move through spirit possession, and their movements are altogether more natural than skeletons being puppeted through necromancy. It's fascinating to observe.

[commedia]

You've seen them before?

[Their dark eyes widen, staring at Harrow.]

And where did you see this? Have you done necromancy yourself?

[bonetiddies]

Canaan House, the seat of the Emperor, is staffed with such servants. But yes, I am a necromancer.

[commedia]

I'm not familiar with such a House. But its good to meet someone familiar with the dead. This humble priest can't call themselves a necromancer...but I work with ghosts and spirits and such things.

[bonetiddies]

You're a priest? What God do you serve?

[commedia]

Not a god. [A shake of the head.] The all-transcending sage. His words and deeds have led many to enlightenment.

[bonetiddies]

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that sort of priest. [There's only one religion in the bone future.]

[commedia]

And I'm not familiar with your Canaan House, but I believe we come from different times, different worlds. Its simply a fact of this place that similarities between what we know is not easy to find.

[bonetiddies]

Indeed. I am quite certain no one here comes from anywhere near my own world. But I would be interested to learn more about your practices.

[commedia]

I could tell you all about it, but first...

[And a pat to the free chair at the table.]
