Good morning, starshines. It is another beautiful day here on the base, and it’s the start of a new week!

Good thing, too. After the death of Tartaglia Childe...well, perhaps there isn't any tension at all? Hard to say. Should anyone try to contact the deceased or review their profiles, they will find that they have been deleted from everyone's phones.

Perhaps you expect this by now, but it seems that the elevator reveals that it may now visit the eighth floor. It may be worth checking out these new areas, free for exploration. If you're feeling incredibly ambitious, you can also take a more in-depth look. Strange things are happening, little sinners. Don't be shy now.

While you can't contact the deceased, the Avatars are once again available via their eight symbols. Shoot them a message, have a chat with them, and see what you can learn. Perhaps you'll find it easier this week.

If you aren't too distracted, that is. For the most part, it may feel as though there isn't anything strange about this week. Everything proceeds as normal and life on the base is calm again. But every now and then, you'll feel a burning in your hand right where your tattoo is as it loses its color and fades to black temporarily. A sudden swell courses through your veins, almost as if being injected with a higher amount of your specific indulgence. You'll find it nearly impossible to do anything else until you act on it, draining the indulgence away and bringing color back to your marking. This won't always happen, and this won't always happen at a convenient time. It may be best to plan ahead. After all...if you ignore it for too long, you may find yourself changing. Those aligned with Envy may find themselves with several new eyes. Those aligned with Gluttony may find claws and a tail beginning to grow. Those aligned with Pride may feel a sharp pain in their head as a crown of thorns embeds itself into their skin. But the sooner you act, the sooner these changes will disappear.

I've been learning! A bunch of groups like this put up performance videos so you can follow along. It's pretty easy once you know the beat.

How neat! I suppose being able to see performances like this without having to be there in person is another convenience of the... "modern" worlds, right?

Yeah, totally! People can stream all kinds of things like movies or dance performances or even live concerts! You can be connected from pretty much anywhere.

That sounds nice. I wonder if we might see things like that in my world, someday.

It might take a long time...it took years for technology to get to this point, and it changes all the time anyway.

Aaaah, that's too bad. [...] Well, at least I get to experience it while I'm here!

I wonder what would happen if you took some of this stuff with you. I don't know how it'd work if you don't have electricity, but it's a thought. It would last at least a little bit until you figured out how to power it on.

Ahaha, maybe! There are some things I wouldn't mind taking back...

I have no idea where I'd put it or how I'd power it, but I kind of want the vending machine.

I've gotten kind of attached to some foods and drinks that we don't really have where they're from, but if I brought that back with me, I could still have them!

I wonder if it'd be easier to send you with a cookbook to try and learn to make some of these things yourself.

I think the problem is we don't have a lot of the ingredients we'd need.

Ahaha... maybe. You're right that a book is probably more practical.

And you can take multiple books...it's a lot lighter than a whole vending machine.
