Good morning, starshines. It is another beautiful day here on the base, and it’s the start of a new week!

Good thing, too. After the death of Tartaglia Childe...well, perhaps there isn't any tension at all? Hard to say. Should anyone try to contact the deceased or review their profiles, they will find that they have been deleted from everyone's phones.

Perhaps you expect this by now, but it seems that the elevator reveals that it may now visit the eighth floor. It may be worth checking out these new areas, free for exploration. If you're feeling incredibly ambitious, you can also take a more in-depth look. Strange things are happening, little sinners. Don't be shy now.

While you can't contact the deceased, the Avatars are once again available via their eight symbols. Shoot them a message, have a chat with them, and see what you can learn. Perhaps you'll find it easier this week.

If you aren't too distracted, that is. For the most part, it may feel as though there isn't anything strange about this week. Everything proceeds as normal and life on the base is calm again. But every now and then, you'll feel a burning in your hand right where your tattoo is as it loses its color and fades to black temporarily. A sudden swell courses through your veins, almost as if being injected with a higher amount of your specific indulgence. You'll find it nearly impossible to do anything else until you act on it, draining the indulgence away and bringing color back to your marking. This won't always happen, and this won't always happen at a convenient time. It may be best to plan ahead. After all...if you ignore it for too long, you may find yourself changing. Those aligned with Envy may find themselves with several new eyes. Those aligned with Gluttony may find claws and a tail beginning to grow. Those aligned with Pride may feel a sharp pain in their head as a crown of thorns embeds itself into their skin. But the sooner you act, the sooner these changes will disappear.

So many. Like. Thousands. People really love cats...but there're dog videos, too. And rabbits? All sorts of stuff.

So what I'm hearing is people are really into watching little movies of animals being cute.

[ yuri you are one of those people who is staring intently. ]

It is pretty relaxing.

Isn't it? How can anyone be worried about anything when fuzzy animals have graced us with their presence? [hehe.] What's your favorite animal anyway?

[ hmmmm. ]

Maybe wolves. I've never really thought about it.

[probe]

Really? [they pause the cat video to go and do another search, pulling up cute baby wolves.] Wolves are pretty nice. I mean not that I've ever met one personally or anything. Not really.

They're very intelligent, and devoted to their family. Pretty admirable traits, for most people?

[probe]

I'd say so. [hehe.] The kind of traits you want for yourself?

[aubins]

[ he just laughs. ]

I don't think they'd entirely suit me, but wanting to provide for family's a pretty common trait regardless. Or, so you'd hope.

[probe]

You'd think so. But I dunno. Some people aren't into the whole family thing right away anyway. At least not until they meet the right people.

[aubins]

Found family? It's not wrong that you can pick and choose the people who matter to you in the long run. Better than being stuck with a bunch of people you hate just because you share some blood.

[probe]

I guess so. I'm pretty happy with the family I have, but I've never minded adding to it, too.

[aubins]

People just sort of... assimilate themselves from time to time, huh? When you're least expecting it.

[probe]

Like those relationships where you can't even remember how you became friends in the first place. Those are the best kind.

[aubins]

The ones where you just look over and realise "oh, I've been stuck with this asshole for god knows how long"? Yeah.

[ yuri don't phrase it like that ]

Yup. It almost feels like that with some of you guys. It's been so long now...

[aubins]

We're an obnxious lot, it's true.

[probe]

Well I wouldn't put it like that...

[they also would not entire disagree though, judging by the grin.]

You should though. We kind of are.

Hey you said it, not me! [they outright laugh then.] But we can agree then without anybody saying anything about it.

No one here to tell us we're wrong, after all. [ they're in an echo chamber ]

And even if they were, we'd just have to prove to them they're the wrong ones, wouldn't we?

[ maybe, but they have rights and can believe what they want they have a permit. ]
