Good morning, starshines. It is another beautiful day here on the base, and it’s the start of a new week!

Good thing, too. After the deaths of Aoi Mukou, Lenore and Mahito, the tension around the base may be a bit higher than it was before. Should anyone try to contact the deceased or review their profiles, they will find that they have been deleted from everyone's phones.

Perhaps you expect this by now, but it seems that the elevator reveals that it may now visit the fourth floor. It may be worth checking out these new areas, free for exploration. If you're feeling incredibly ambitious, you can also take a more in-depth look. Strange things are happening, little sinners. Don't be shy now.

While you can't contact the deceased, the Avatars are once again available via their eight symbols. Shoot them a message, have a chat with them, and see what you can learn. Perhaps you'll find it easier this week.

[ smiles. but yeah, she's off to be a jock. though it only takes a moment as she tries to get her footing to realize something is off. she tries to slide her foot back again, and nothing.

[ meanwhile, from where he's seated while looking at his phone. ]

That's called Wednesday, Vira-san. [takeru is literally always ready to bludgeon him with a mace. though he mostly sounds amused about it. though there's a perk of curiosity when takeru speaks and mineo moves like he wants to look over his shoulder and walk back to him a little. he can't. hm. confusion.

[the sphinx continues to frown even more baldly. it yawns.]

[ oh, maybe mineo is into that sort of thing. he can probably sense her gently kinkshaming him.

but that's replaced with confusion as well. what happened? she'd peek at his phone but she literally can't go backwards right now. the sphinx rolls over onto its side and slaps the ground with its tail a few times. ]

I think if I said it out loud, she would physically manifest here and beat me to death with a skull.

[ he looks up at them and then at the sphinx. ]

[why is he being judged.... what did he say..... he's just confused again but he's always confused. though at the mention of the sphinx he'll look forward again and approach??? the sphinx yawns once more. mineo's nose wrinkles because it's probably stinky.]

... I kinda feel bad just hitting it though?

[ anyway, vira gets a notification on her phone too, so she's stopping to check that. the sphinx does not care, as it is busy being stinky.

her brow furrows slightly as she reads the message, before suddenly being surprised. she scrubs a hand over her face, because it's turning red. ]

Oh—I don't know. Do whatever you think is best.

[ the feeling of surprised makes him look around, trying to figure out who the emotion is coming from before his gaze settles on vira. he looks at his phone, then at her.

and then just also scrubs at his face. ]

Yeah, just. Get us out of here as soon as you can.

[ the cat pyramid rolls over onto its back lazily. vira has her sword in one hand and is texting with the other. ]

[ she's cheerful, but radiating murderous vibes. this is undoubtedly a threat. also, a little jealousy? there's a lot happening here. ]

he just looks at mineo. ]

[THERE IS SO MUCH HAPPENING HERE. but the thing is that he's actually just getting more curious about the jealousy - before he tries (and fails) to muffle it for his own life. he reads the harrow's text and softly goes:] Whoa.

[so this is what it's like on the other end of secondhand embarrassment. ANYWAY HE PUTS HIS PHONE AWAY AND looks back at the sphinx.]

People sitting on the sidelines don't get to complain, Takeru!!

[he will go to just. tap its paw with his knuckles. the sphinx bats back without actually trying to hurt him. mineo pauses like he has no idea what to do in this situation, because he doesn't.]

[ so for a moment here there are three people on their phones. they're doing great. she is still texting, though she glances up at the sphinx with a frown. ]

This is a dull sort of monster. I would've picked something more exciting.

[ judging..... ]

It doesn't really seem to be doing anything. Is this animal abuse?

[NOW HE SUPER FEELS GUILTY ABOUT FIGHTING IT]

[ she types out another message and is suddenly so tired. just at everything. ]

It's not real. Also, does this count as an animal or an abomination?

[ anyway she walks over and bonks it over the head with her sword... which just bounces off, because it's apparently made of rubber. ]

[ the ugly sphinx's horrible man face wrinkles a little after she hits it with her sword. she sighs. ]

[ she can only move forward so she just. pounces onto the sphinx's back and puts it in a chokehold with her sword while mineo finds rope. is this animal abuse? she may be a little frustrated right now. it lets out an alarmed squawk. ]
