Rise and shine, little sinners. Did you rest well? Hope you weren't too perturbed by the events of the day before. Things seem to be perfectly normal throughout your morning, but at 12pm, everyone will receive a mass text message to their phone.

trial. noon.

Whether you agree or disagree, soon you will find yourself physically moving toward the conference room on the bottom floor, filing into the room and taking a seat in one of the vacant chairs. Two metal boxes sit at the end of each table along with a collection of pens and colored notecards. At the head of the room, Wrath, Greed, Despair and Sloth patiently wait as the TV above them displays a message.

Once the last participant enters the room, the door will swing closed behind them and lock them inside.

Wrath is sitting on the table, organizing notes and gently sliding them to Greed. Sloth is here with what looks like a dog-shaped neck pillow sticking out of the edges of their hood. The spiraled horn on the top of their head is longer and sharper. Greed is leaning against the table in an attempt to be present, hands tentatively reaching forward to take the papers from Wrath. Despair has taken their usual seat, just vibing here as they quietly observe. Oddly, Sloth, Greed and Wrath are not in their cloaks today. Instead, they are in sweatpants (shorts in Wrath's case) and cozy hoodies in their color with their symbol printed on the front. The hoods are pulled over their heads however. Once everyone has settled, Sloth chimes in.

Everyone has nine hours again! You can do it! Last time, you even did it a little early! Wow!

Hello, and welcome to your fifth trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the events of the day before! While mini-investigations were held yesterday, today is the day characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, while voting is not mandatory, we do have a voting page should characters wish to vote! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST) if you wish to vote.

[the things knocked off the wall are everything that's fairly lower down. there is fire everywhere else in the house. nothing else looks out of place, though, in the direction of any of the other rooms.

the blood on mineo's fingers is just normal blood. it just gets tacky after it starts drying a bit on his skin like blood is wont to do. the corner of the table has a very nicely dangerous right angle. the rug looks like it was dropped aside, but it hadn't been balled up tightly. nothing is in it, and the only thing on it is heavy scorch marks from fire.

molly's blood trail leads him directly out the door and bumping right into gu yun who comes in. oof! it takes a turn and heads in the direction of the entrance. it's a hurried trail, but not sporadic. it's not a ton of blood either.

"they would have seen this before mods?" yes, but (anna voice) follow natural order of progression rules.]

[ oh, looks at phone. he's playing deaf to both of their protests now. ]

Think the other group found her - also, the dog she had breathed fire, apparently, so that's likely how this started.

[ gu yun does in fact bump into molly when he heads out, bracing himself briefly and giving him a pat on the chest, and then turning back to look at the blood trail on the way out. was that there before. (anna voice) yes

he'll turn to go follow it, too, though. is there any places where it's more collected, like someone might have stood still? ]

...Maybe they put the dog in the rug. [ if it was blowing fire everywhere?? who knows ]

[ANNA OUR BLOOD LOGIC. but just to confirm the blood trail looks like it goes from the table and then back out the way that they came? through the tequila bits.]

.... but with the tequila, it kinda feels hard to believe that it's all an accident? Maybe it was, though.

[like. huge murder comedy of errors type thing. at the mention of putting the dog in the rug mineo is now going to look even more closely for dog hairs. hello? pomeranians shed, don't they. are they able to find any dog hairs on the floor in general amidst the blood and everything strewn about? mineo will try to shuffle through the stuff

is there any other way out in the bottom floor of the house? like a back door or anything.]

Ah-- body was in the city, apparently.

So ran from in here to there, then? Does seem like a bit of a farce happened. Lots of running around and setting things aflame. Sloth, there anything else in here? Do make it easy on us if you can, the whole damned place is on fucking fire.

[there isn't any doggy fur on the rug, nope. every so often, there's some little pom furs the fire didn't snatch away, but it isn't in any particular area or clump outside of being near the entrance area.

there is a collection of blood where the tequila bits had been near the door to the house.]

Sure! Imagine just being in a whole house of fire and not dying! Wow!

[sloth holds out their hand to whoever wants to be the first to take it.] Ready? Let's follow your trail if you're finished looking around here, huh? [time for the float train!]

[ glancing down at that blood and kind of sup nodding towards the other two. he'll take sloth's hand, though, and offer his free one out to whoever wants it for the float train. ] The house will be alright, right? It'll restore itself?

[thank you for my blood - that said right before they're on the way out, mineo's gonna check around the dining room and entranceway for one more thing - there's no liquor cabinet, right? so no easy place to get tequila from?? he'll take a picture of the path just for posterity but otherwise he'll trail after for the float train]

[there isn't any kind of liquor cabinet, nope. nothing is on the ceiling, but i wish there was so you could have a spooky surprise.

sloth takes gu yun's hand, and gu yun lifts a bit off the ground, followed by whoever takes his hand after, etc.]

Aww, you guys are so darn nice! It wasn't any trouble if it helps you guys find out what happened to someone aligned to sloth with me!

[please. sound less cheerful and earnest. they start leading the three of them out of the door, following the trail of blood.] Yeah, the house will be fine. Just a little fire! It'll get fixed for Envy in no time. [choo choo.

the blood trail heads out from the house room back into the base, and then toward the room with the city where sloth stops.]
