WEEK 4 MINGLE
POPULATION: 24
Good morning, starshines. It is another beautiful day here on the base, and it’s the start of a new week!
Good thing, too. After the deaths of Omi Fushimi, Ashiya Douman and Trafalgar Law, the tension around the base may be a bit higher than it was before. Should anyone try to contact the deceased or review their profiles, they will find that they have been deleted from everyone's phones.
Perhaps you expect this by now, but it seems that the elevator reveals that it may now visit the fourth floor. It may be worth checking out these new areas, free for exploration. If you're feeling incredibly ambitious, you can also take a more in-depth look.
While you can't contact the deceased, the Avatars are once again available via their eight symbols. Shoot them a message, have a chat with them, and see what you can learn. Perhaps you'll find it easier this week.
Unless you're shy, of course. It seems as though your inhibitions are right back where they belong and instead this week seems...normal? Nothing seems immediately off as you go about your day, but the moment you come across another person there's the overwhelming desire to be kind. The larger your conflict is with another person, the more kind you will want to be to them. Insults can't quite make it past your lips this week, and even rude gestures are harder to display. Perhaps your kindness will even manifest in ways you don't quite expect.
Now, now. No reason to be petty.

[ she doesn't want to do work, period! ... but fine, she's not a sloth, she GUESSES she can do that much. ]
no subject
It's an amphora.
[
that should count, right ]
no subject
[ At least he's more resigned than annoyed. But he has the clay, and drags the table closer to where Misa is sitting because by
godhim, he's going to. Get them through this. ]Try the pedal, and we'll go from there with the - [ a glance ] - amphora.
no subject
Thanks for your help!
[ ... she at least can push the pedal with little to no problem, though. godspeed, ming yi, please save us all. ]
no subject
You know how to do it, right?
no subject
You could always offer some guidance, since you know what the pottery itself is.
[ ... Misa gets a. Pat. On the head. With a not-clay hand, despite his innate desire to be a deadpan bully. ]
no subject
Are you making fun of me?
no subject
[ she doesn't even know misa that well
hhhhhhh FINE she'll contribute, but not without another little put upon sigh. megara would just like to sleep this off, okay. thank god for favoritism. ]
Do I look like a potter to you? [ mumblemumble. is this contributing. ] Well, it can't be that hard, can it? Keep the clay wet, use your fingers to shape it, throw it in the oven and we're done.

[ At least he still sounds so terribly deadpan, as he drops the clay down onto the wheel to nudge it around and test it out. Meg gets no response because it would probably not be nice and it's better to suck a lemon and swallow it down.
It's then that he notices ... two fingers. On that hand. And pauses with absolute exhaustion. ]
Are you kidding me.
no subject
[ unsurprisingly, when she notices ming yi's lack of fingie, she screams. sorry about your headache meg but this is terrifying!! ]
Y-your hands! What happened to your hands? Why is it always hands?!
no subject
sorry, meg is just groaning and covering her ears. useless. ]
no subject
They always have to make this challenging, don't they? [ here is his despair for the day ] Why.
[ at least a mouth hasn't fully formed yet ]
no subject
[ please let her say something mean in this situation im begging ]
But, um, should we try getting Slothy or something? They might be able to fix them?
no subject
He has wonderful hands. [ . . . ] What happened?
no subject
[ Because that might bypass it, if he consents to it? It wouldn't be nice to lie in that case? Whatever, he holds up his two-fingied hand for Meg to see.
And since he's no longer working on the pottery project, she gets to watch in real time as his hands are restored. ]
no subject
Oh my god, is the clay cursed? I don't think we should keep going, this isn't worth it!
no subject
...We've got to finish the task, right? If we want the prize, that is.
no subject
Let's just get this over with. [ he also hates it here but he'll just. do it anyways! his sin is despair, he might as well do this as an indulgence! ]
no subject
I guess we don't have to deal with snakes.
[ she, at least, puts her foot back on the pedal and starts to press on it again. ]
no subject
What do you mean it's... You know what, whatever. We can talk about that later. [ meg is so tired. ] Just - start with the base of the amphora? It's smaller on the bottom.
no subject
Alright. It'll just take a little longer if this keeps happening, but just - keep doing the pedal, and we'll deal with it. [ He wets his hands, and then goes to start working on the amphora with Meg's instruction. Even if he does wind up with only two fingers on each hand again. ]
no subject
It's like you have claws...that are cute?
no subject
He would have cute claws...
