Rise and shine, little sinners. Did you rest well? Hope you weren't too perturbed by the events of the day before. Things seem to be perfectly normal throughout your morning, but at 12pm, everyone will receive a mass text message to their phone.

goood morning! come join us in the conference room when you're ready!

Whether you agree or disagree, soon you will find yourself physically moving toward the conference room on the bottom floor, filing into the room and taking a seat in one of the vacant chairs. Two metal boxes sit at the end of each table along with a collection of pens and colored notecards. At the head of the room, Lust, Pride, Envy and Gluttony patiently wait as the TV above them displays a message.

Victims: Omi Fushimi, Ashiya Douman

Once the last participant enters the room, the door will swing closed behind them and lock them inside.

Lust is at the table and seems to be finishing a topcoat on their nails. Pride is looking down at their claws, sprawled in their chair. Envy is slumped forward on the table... but don't worry, he's not dead this time, he just has his head pillowed on his folded arms. Gluttony is sitting up straight, hands laced together and waiting.

The rest of the Avatars all look at Pride after a moment of silence, and then, vaguely annoyed, Pride says:

What? They know they have nine hours by this point. Don't look at me.

Hello, and welcome to fourth third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the events of the day before! While mini-investigations were held yesterday, today is the day characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, while voting is not mandatory, we do have a voting page should characters wish to vote! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST) if you wish to vote.

I guess they could have been running on adrenaline, like someone suggested. And maybe... we can see what others find from their investigation.

At least that way we can track the telescope. It was removed from the room and used to bash someone's brain in, and then returned, that means someone was alive to do that.

[she can tell they're like three inches apart from each other. she's looking closely enough that it's like, the wounds sort of overlap in places but there's a pattern to them!

It sounds like broken glass is involved in different areas. We need to see if it's glass from the telescope, or from the - [checking his phone] - bottle from the tea room.

If the glass they found in the tea room is from the telescope, then that'd connect the observation room to Ashiya-san's. If not, we'll keep it separate.

[shi qingxuan is very pale and also her hands are a little bloody from handling a bloody clorpse. it's fine, though? she takes a breath and tries to keep her voice steady as she speaks.]

...someone attempted to take Douman's head off. They weren't successful - there was a wire stuck partway through their neck... but they did make some progress.

They were hit in the back of the head at some point, as well. There was a bruise - it was circular in shape, and about this size.

[she makes a circle with her fingers to demonstrate! per word of mod, it's about the size of a drink coaster.]

There was blood on their fingertips and under their nails, and... bits of skin under their nails, as well. They may have left scratches of some kind on their attacker. [...] There's a... bite mark on their hand that I don't quite recall seeing when I was with them in the medbay before curfew - but I don't think I was the last to see them, as some have said they saw them with one of their eyes back, and they still had none when I left. Can anyone account for that, or...?

Additionally, they were stabbed. [she gestures in the General Kidney Area.] A couple of times times, around here, with something that was small, thick, and left jagged, uneven marks, in about this size. [she measures with her fingers to demonstrate it - it's about dimesized!] They were in clusters of three, about the same distance apart from each other. [and then she'll hold her fingers about three inches apart from each other to demonstrate!] I'm not sure what sort of weapon would leave such marks, but it appeared that they'd been stabbed multiple times with it, whatever it was. There were some places where they overlapped, but... there was something of a pattern to them.

There were some... other wounds that looked more faded, but they were likely from earlier in the week, or at least from before they used the pod to recover one of their eyes. They seemed to be of the... ah, indulgent, variety. [a beat. she clears her throat.] ...I won't ask anyone to account for those - I think we should probably be paying more attention to the fresh wounds, at any rate...

[she looks so tired. someone point her to where she can wash her hands please.]

The dent was - I don't have any idea what it would look like if you hit a telescope against someone's head hard enough to splatter their brains.

Head wounds bleed a lot, though, and there was brain matter. Would that be enough to not leave any other marks...? Not to mention the telescope had a bunch of blood but there weren't any drips around it either.
