WEEK 2 TRIAL
POPULATION: 28
Rise and shine, little sinners. Did you rest well? Hope you weren't too perturbed by the events of the day before. Things seem to be perfectly normal throughout your morning, but at 12pm, everyone will receive a mass text message to their phone.
Whether you agree or disagree, soon you will find yourself physically moving toward the conference room on the bottom floor, filing into the room and taking a seat in one of the vacant chairs. Two metal boxes sit at the end of each table along with a collection of pens and colored notecards. At the head of the room, Greed, Wrath, Despair and Sloth patiently wait as the TV above them displays a message.
Once the last participant enters the room, the door will swing closed behind them and lock them inside.
Greed is seated at the end of the table with a series of papers in their hands. Wrath is sitting sideways in a chair, leaning against Despair, feet in Greed's lap, with their phone out, taking selfies. Despair seems to be holding still to allow this. Sloth is dead asleep, head down on the table and snoring. When some of the last few people enter, they startle awake suddenly with a yelp which gets everyone's attention.
"Ahh, I'm up! Wow, it's time already?! You guys have 9 long hours to figure everything out!"
Hello, and welcome to your third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the events of the day before! While mini-investigations were held yesterday, today is the day characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, while voting is not mandatory, we do have a voting page should characters wish to vote! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST) if you wish to vote.

the state of the steven is that only roughly about half of his head is left! yikes! wow! there's massive damage to his face and parts of his neck, and the part of his head that's actually still some semblance of existing looks like it's been crushed in with severe lacerations over the skin.]

but wowowowow!!!!!! even for law who has seen some fucking miserable shit this is bad. he won't show anything on his face but HAHAHAH BAD! SO BAD!!! he'll keep his cool and carefully examine his head. the way that it was crushed does it look like it was done but a blunt object or something with an edge to it???
from there he'll look at his face and what kind of damage are we talking about here? is it blunt force trauma or something, again, with a edge or the like? ]

it's truly a good thing that law has messed so many dead bodies at this point because he'll check over his hands and the rest of his person. any other signs of injuries? yeah, he's probably wearing clothes but anything through the clothes or are we gonna have to undress him to see? ]

as law's looking over the rest of steven's person, at a first glance he will notice there's some pretty heavy bruising around the neck. there's some blood on his fingers, and on his right hand and shirt sleeve there's some blood.
strangely, the rest of the body seems to be in pretty decent condition.]

he'll take a closer look at the hand, are the fingers bloodied because of steven's blood (injury from self-defense and etc) or are bloodied as there's blood under the fingernails??
oh. how is the state of steven's clothes, actually? is it shredded ala what law found back outside of the med bay? but hmm. just his head? law will, unfortunately just undress steven a politely to see if there's any bruising that's hidden from view. ]

his clothes are actually in-tact, just probably reasonably bloody given the state of his head. law can undress steven to admire him one last time but at a glance he doesn't really see anything unusual besides the bruising and some blood. the bruising itself is pretty severe though now that he's taking a look at it, but at a glance it seems to be centralized just around the neck itself.]

also metatext don't come at me about law admiring steven one last time or i'm putting this doctor in the ground. though, is bruising around his neck, can it be discerned of what the root cause of it was? like, rope, wire, hands...? that sort of thing?

but claw marks?? are they like... claw marks or something more akin to claw but actually nails marks?? small blessings that steven's neck isn't broken??? mods, may i request a handout to spare all of us time to see if steven's head/neck are the only things that are worthy or note?
...though i guess he'll check his feet because feet are cursed in murder games. ]
