WEEK 2 TRIAL

Rise and shine, little sinners. Did you rest well? Hope you weren't too perturbed by the events of the day before. Things seem to be perfectly normal throughout your morning, but at 12pm, everyone will receive a mass text message to their phone.

Proceed to the conference room.

Whether you agree or disagree, soon you will find yourself physically moving toward the conference room on the bottom floor, filing into the room and taking a seat in one of the vacant chairs. Two metal boxes sit at the end of each table along with a collection of pens and colored notecards. At the head of the room, Greed, Wrath, Despair and Sloth patiently wait as the TV above them displays a message.

Victims: Vlad Masters, Steven A Starphase, Luca Valentino

Once the last participant enters the room, the door will swing closed behind them and lock them inside.

Greed is seated at the end of the table with a series of papers in their hands. Wrath is sitting sideways in a chair, leaning against Despair, feet in Greed's lap, with their phone out, taking selfies. Despair seems to be holding still to allow this. Sloth is dead asleep, head down on the table and snoring. When some of the last few people enter, they startle awake suddenly with a yelp which gets everyone's attention.

"Ahh, I'm up! Wow, it's time already?! You guys have 9 long hours to figure everything out!"

Hello, and welcome to your third trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the events of the day before! While mini-investigations were held yesterday, today is the day characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, while voting is not mandatory, we do have a voting page should characters wish to vote! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST) if you wish to vote.

[ well. time to pull back this sheet and see what happened here at first glance. ]

[well, the first thing he notices is that luca's wearing his usual outfit - and he's very, very pale. where are we looking first, loverboy?]

[aubins]

[ wow?

well. that's concerning. no obvious huge wound suggestive of blood loss, then? he'll start at the top -- with luca's head. any injuries hiding in that hair of his? on the back of his head?

anything off about his face other than looking really pale? ]

[probe]

[there's nothing on the back of his head, but there is a bruise on his forehead about the size of a quarter. maybe a little bigger. it's a weird shape. he also has like, very tiny pinpricks here and there against one cheek.

it's also probably impossible to miss the long gash across his neck.]

[aubins]

[ ...





... right, yeah. that'd do it. wide gash? does it look neat or just an absolute mess? anything around the edges of the wound? also he's going to take a look at the bruise and the little pinpricks for any minor details - anything around then? any debris or something along those lines?

... and also put a pin in this one to check again when certaine evidence is back in the room because Hm. ]

[it's a pretty neat cut, no jagged edges or anything, just one straight shot across his neck.

the bruise is on the left side of luca's forehead and is not quite a circle. as for the pinpricks - not all of the wounds have them, but if yuri looks closely he'll find little tiny needles. plant needles, not metal ones.]

[aubins]

[ well. he will gently tug out a couple of those plant needles, for the sake of evidence matching.

so the wound looks like someone knew what they were doing, rather than hacking away for the sake of it? interesting.

he's going to give luca's clothes a pat down, looking for any items that might be inside pockets or any wear or tear than wasn't there usually given luca's... image obsession. and while he's on this train of investigation, he'll check his hands over for wounds or anything under his nails. ]

[probe]

[da na na naaaa, you have plant needles.

there's chalk in his pockets! and his phone. closer inspection will reveal that there are more plant needles dotted along the front of his shirt, and the front of his pants. there's also a pretty significant amount of blood on the shirt, soaking out from his stomach.

there are (surprise) a few more needles in his hands, but nothing under his nails.]

[aubins]

[ jesus luca did you just play whack-a-mole with those cacti? well. the chalk is no mystery, but he will take it. the phone will get a glance over with his ye olde eyes -- can he see if anything's on it? anything on the outside of the phone itself?

....

well then. time to remove his top and see what's making him bleed wildly out like that. ]

[nope. the phone's maybe a little bloody in places but in the way that things just get blood on them when there's a lot of it around.

luca has... a stomach wound! two neat puncture wounds, covered in mostly dry blood.]

[aubins]

[ lovely!

let's take a closer look at those puncture wounds and the area around them -- do they look neat like the neck wound? what size are the puncture wounds? ]

[probe]

[sort of. there's a little bit of damage around the puncture wounds that suggest it's less neat than the neck wound. the puncture wounds are small. smaller than a dime, and spaced out maybe an inch or so from each other.]

[aubins]

[ .... what the f-- ]

[ okay well. let him just keep checking the front of him for a moment -- the trousers are coming off, how do the twink's legs look this fine trial day? ]

[probe]

[oh also this is belated because i'm an idiot who got distracted by chalk but luca's hand is a yaoi hand.

or, like, it was, until yuri looked at it closely and it deflated. slowly. like air out of a balloon.

anyway his legs are fine. there's a few needles here and there but only on the front.]

[aubins]

[ me: so deeply cursed with this knowledge of luca's GIANT YAOI HAND that i did not perceive it. i hope it made a sad noise like a balloon deflating.

alright then, he's going to make sure to support luca's head so he doesn't jar the neck wound, but he's going to shift the body upright so he can check his back for any wounds -- bruise? do the puncture wounds go all the way through to the other side? ]

[probe]

[it made a prolonged firt sound.

the puncture wounds do not go all the way through! no bruises on the back. i'm not describing any potential sex injuries because they are not listed on this doc, but i'm sure hoca has them.]

[aubins]

[ he does.


anyway. that was a terrible sound, yuri retroactively hates it. alright, he'll carefully set this kinda-bloodless body back down on the table and will give the backs of his leggies a quick check for similar reasons.

and then give that neck wound one more look -- is it a deep cut? or shallow? ]

[probe]

[nothing on the back of the leggies.

the neck wound isn't shallow but it's not crazy deep either. somewhere in the middle. it looks intentional.]

[ we don't like that in this house.



okay well i guess yuri has to don the fire emblem crown now and check the feetsies. anything of note there or did yuri just look at feet for no reason? ]

[haha yeah he just looked at feet for no reason enjoy your feetish]
