Good morning, starshines. It is another beautiful day here on the base, and it’s the start of a new week!

Good thing, too. After the deaths of Grell Sutcliff, Kaz Kaan, and HK-47, the tension around the base may be a bit higher than it was before. Should anyone try to contact the deceased or review their profiles, they will find that they have been deleted from everyone's phones.

Then again...last weekend was a bit of a mess, wasn't it? Perhaps you would prefer to leave it all behind you. Lucky for you, the elevator reveals that it may now visit the third floor. It may be worth checking out these new areas, free for exploration. If you're feeling incredibly ambitious, you can also take a more in-depth look.

While you can't contact the deceased, the Avatars are once again available via their eight symbols. Shoot them a message, have a chat with them, and see what you can learn. Perhaps you'll find it easier this week.

On the bright side, all of your skills are in working order once again. Cherish your gifts, little sinners. You would hate to lose them again wouldn't you? But even if you did, you would still have your memories of them. Memories are important, aren't they? Things meant to remind you, and things to motivate you. Your most tragic, painful and even downright embarrassing memories shape who you are as a person, and this week you'll find that others will be witness to these as well. This may occur when you're in close proximity to someone, or it may be when you brush past them. Even the slightest eye contact may set off this sharing of memories, and your deepest secrets will be harder to keep.

Lust has tried to force me to play once or twice. [they say, idly. and then they lift their claw hands to show grace. these are not good for controllers.]

Oooh. Sort of like playing with those fake nails, I get it. I had some for like, twelve seconds once and it drove me nuts. [ it's pensive, and then grace leads them to one of the arcade machines that are fighting games since those are just. a few big buttons and a directional stick? ] It's old school, but this should work better. You pretty much just mash the buttons and move.

they stand in front of the arcade machine and stare at it like they've never seen anything like it. uh. what... do...]

[ pride. please. grace sidles up next to them and starts the game ]

The stick controls how you move, and the buttons are attacks. Just pick whatever character you want and start mashing buttons.

[they are a simple pride and don't know what the fuck a video game is.

but they will try, they guess. they pick whatever the equivalent of this game's king from tekken is. they will slap the buttons!!]

[ grace is? cheering them on from the side? i haven't played an arcade fighting game in so long i dont remember how they work but its just hit things until they die it's fine. i hope this is mortal kombat style and they die horribly ]

Yeah! Like that! And it doesn't even matter how hard you mash it, it's meant to be hit hard!

[they are doing their best but it's literally just slapping buttons until something dies. it's probably them and not the computer ai. they sort of just frown when the DEFEAT screen comes up. or give off frown energy. look, you can just tell.]

Wanna go again...? You can play against people too, not just the computer.

they'll play a game or two against grace, if she's offering - and will likely lose. they suck at this.]
