Good morning, starshines. It is another beautiful day here on the base, and it’s the start of a new week!

Good thing, too. After the deaths of Grell Sutcliff, Kaz Kaan, and HK-47, the tension around the base may be a bit higher than it was before. Should anyone try to contact the deceased or review their profiles, they will find that they have been deleted from everyone's phones.

Then again...last weekend was a bit of a mess, wasn't it? Perhaps you would prefer to leave it all behind you. Lucky for you, the elevator reveals that it may now visit the third floor. It may be worth checking out these new areas, free for exploration. If you're feeling incredibly ambitious, you can also take a more in-depth look.

While you can't contact the deceased, the Avatars are once again available via their eight symbols. Shoot them a message, have a chat with them, and see what you can learn. Perhaps you'll find it easier this week.

On the bright side, all of your skills are in working order once again. Cherish your gifts, little sinners. You would hate to lose them again wouldn't you? But even if you did, you would still have your memories of them. Memories are important, aren't they? Things meant to remind you, and things to motivate you. Your most tragic, painful and even downright embarrassing memories shape who you are as a person, and this week you'll find that others will be witness to these as well. This may occur when you're in close proximity to someone, or it may be when you brush past them. [ He makes a face at the thought of provoking it, because he sees Fukuru making Omi into the emotional support Envy. That leaves him the third party for solo things, doesn't it...... ]

[Omi gets grazed on his side by a stray arrow.]

Why not, honestly. [ An arrow hits him in the back of the shoulder, and all he does is reach to break the shaft on it. ] Does something smell like it's burning?

[Listen. Myths are variable. Maybe the deer is green in one version, as far as he knows.]

[And then then round a corner and come face to face with the hind, whose ass is now magenta, and it turns to look at them, and its eyes flash before lasers shoot out? Hopefully Omi pulls them both out of the way in time because Fukuda is not dodging. Ming Yi too since he can't anticipate lasers.]

[ Omi is absolutely going to tug Fukuda out of the way. Which really means they're crashing to the floor. Sorry, buddy.]

[ Ming Yi does not anticipate lasers. He anticipates fire breathing? That's pretty normal to him.

But he jerks out of the way when Omi moves to hit the deck, startled, even if there's still the smell of singed hair as the magenta-assed hind goes bounding off at mach yeet past them in their alarm. ]

[As it bounds past, its ass changes color from magenta to red.]

Well. I guess that's why we're in a laser tag?
[It absorbed the laser energy.]

Omi, I need your help getting back up...
[He could easily get back up on his own, though? One of the other arrows stuck in him did snap in half when they fell, though.]

[There goes the doe.

He'll help Fukuda get up- hup, hup. It's a little hard running when they're latched together like this, but he also really doesn't want to leave him alone.]

Legs good? Can you run or should I carry you?

[ While they get up, he pats out whatever singed bits of his hair there are, squinting after the deer. ]

Because the hind itself has lasers? [ He has decided he hates laser tag, and also that this is a simulation, so he's just going to go ahead and pull out his own arrow. splurt ] When that boat ride happened, there were three surprises. Ideally the pattern continues and we have our three.

Aah, though the lasers in laser tag are harmless...
[These are clearly not.]

But you're right, if it's the arrows, changing color, and the lasers. Ah, it's all threes, isn't that great?
[IS IT? Anyway;]

[He can walk but if you're going to give him that option?]

Unless you aim them at somebody's eyes.

[Anyway, he's going to get down enough that Fukuda can get piggybacked. It's fine, it's fine.

He doesn't think it'll slow him down too much.]

I don't know if I'd call a laser eyed deer great.

I will absolutely not say a laser eyed deer is great.

[ Ming Yi just. Lets them do their thing, smacking arrows away with his shovel while they do that and trying to see if he can catch sight of their multi-colored hinded hind. ]

Are you two ready?

[Fukuda is having an incredible time. He doesn't know what you guys are talking about.]

Aah, lead the way, Mr Ming Yi.
[An arrow flies directly at Fukuda but he turns his head at just the right time and it goes directly into the hole, up to the fletching which is too wide and gets stuck.]

[Omi is blissfully unaware because Fukuda is on his back and Omi is following Ming Yi.

At least they can hear the deer's footsteps in this area.]

Anyways. Pretending he does not perceive. ]

It went this way. [ clang! goes an arrow as he smacks it away, and just turns the fuck around to head after their deer. ]

[Fukuda would really like this arrow out of his head. Unfortunately, he can't do anything without help. So it's just gonna stay there for now.]

Do you think we can catch up to it? It's pretty fast...

[I am begging you, ask for help.]

I don't think it's faster than a normal deer.

[ Ming Yi is, also unfortunately, an asshole. You are stuck with your arrowhole at this time and place. ]

I think the worst of it is the lasers. We just have to avoid those.

[HE CAN'T, THEY HAVE TO CATCH THE DEER!!]

If only we had a mirror, that would help a lot.
[They turn a corner and a blue deer ass is just vanishing around the next turn! Another arrow flies past but hits no one.]

We have a net.

[Which... maybe they just throw it and hope?]

[ ding! Another couple of arrows, and Ming Yi at least is fast enough to block one, but is grazed by the other. ]

My shovel isn't reflective. [ unfortunate ] But I'm more than willing to hit it over the head if we have to.

If you do that, what's the point of having the net?

[Who's holding the net, anyway. Since Omi is carrying Fukuda and Ming Yi is Shovel.

Anyway they turn the corner and the hind is right there, it's ass having finally turned a golden hue. It's gearing up to fire its laser eyes again though.]

[It's a mystery net now.]
