WEEK 1 EXECUTION
POPULATION: 33
Sunday morning is a calm and quiet affair after the events of the trial before. All traces of evidence and damage has disappeared as of yesterday and Simulations continues to be occupied by the chosen culprit.
At about 1pm, however, everyone will receive a mass text once more.
Conference room. Don't have to be here, but it's happening anyway.
Unlike Saturday, participants will not be forced to enter the conference room. It seems as though you really do have a choice...unless you're HK-47 and SHI QINGXUAN who will find they cannot resist and will be compelled into walking forward.
As the pair of them enter the conference room, they will find themselves walking through a door hidden away in a corner. The moment they step through it, the door will seal and disappear. The previously dark window soon lights up, providing a clear view of them to all who remain in the room. The four Avatars from yesterday's trial are seated at their table, and the TV that hangs above them turns on as audio begins to filter into the room to provide a clear picture of what's happening inside the other room.
Prepare yourselves, everyone. This may not be easy to watch.

she'd expected him to be speedy - their fight in the simulation room had prepared her for that. but he'd been holding back then, hadn't he? smart, she catches herself thinking, as his hand comes around her throat. and then she's not thinking anything at all as he slams her into the wall, dizzy with pain as her head pounds.
somehow, she doesn't drop the crystal. her other hand comes up to bat ineffectually at his wrist, as the steel pierces her skin and crushes her throat -
and then she's tossed bodily across the room, slamming hard into the wall and falling to the ground.
she's still for a moment, breathing raggedly, but she forces herself up into a sitting position, and then back up to her feet. she doesn't have time to catch her breath, really. she has to move.
and so she does, stumbling back to try and put distance between herself and hk-47 as the walls close in on them and the ground crumbles beneath her feet.
she doesn't dignify his question with a response. she just glances toward the timer - it's ticking away, agonizingly slowly - and then watches him carefully as he approaches. this time, she'll be better prepared to dodge.]

Query: Are there any participants you would rather I kill?
[a patch of floor crumbles away in his path and he lithely jumps over it, arcing high into the air and landing with a heavy thud directly next to her
before she can react, a metal fist swings towards her, aiming squarely for the throat, to crush and sever, but his body jolts again in sourceless pain and the blow goes wide, instead pounding down across her shoulder joint and destroying the bones there with all the force of an oncoming car
he grabs her by the same arm, yanking her towards the ground by its damaged connections and swings a powerful kick into her spine, sending her sliding across the floor towards an open pit leading to an endless void
the walls grow closer, the holes increase in size, and there are fewer and fewer places to escape
the timer ticks on, and a sensor inside HK's logic computer begins to alert]

[at this point, the only participant that she can think of that she wants dead is him.
but, fuck! there's a momentary look of panic when he lands next to her with a thud, but it quickly becomes one of fury as she processes his words - and then one of intense pain as his fist strikes her shoulder. she's vaguely aware of the crunch of bone, but more aware of severe agony.
despite herself, she screams - only to be caught by the same arm and yanked. the scream is cut off by a pained groan and then a breathless choking sound as he kicks her forward, and she clutches at the ground as she skids closer and closer to that open pit.
no, no. she barely manages to pull herself back up to her feet (it's hard to get up, somehow, as if some kind of unseen pressure is bearing down on her), aching, and then - lunges at him, aiming a kick at his legs. there's ground crumbling beneath him, if she can just knock him over -
but that's not going to go well. kicking solid metal never does.]

Observation: You may have had a chance in this combat were you a Jedi, but unfortunately for both of us that is not the case, meatbag.
[and with a rapid twist of indomitable metal, he snaps her leg 180 degrees, separating it entirely from the hip and, before letting go, brings his other fist down onto it, snapping the bones in the lower leg with casual ease and tossing her to the ground
Shi Qingxuan isn't going anywhere anymore, not that there's much place left to run to, as they're now on an island of floor, surrounded by an endless drop and with the walls growing tighter, nearly boxing them in
he notices the crystal for the first time and, fearing it's some sort of explosive or energy weapon, swiftly brings his own leg down on her arm, hundreds of kilos of force pulverizing flesh and bone beneath it
certain she has no escape, he turns towards where the door they came in was, and where he assumes the viewing window to be]
Commentary: It is to my great disappointment that I was unable to carry out any other slayings this week, but I am brought great hope and inspiration by the actions of whichever meatbag among you has taken it upon themselves to join me in indulging. I can only hope that, once I am finished here, we may cooperate in eradicating the others.
[oh what is he villain monologuing??]
Statement: To the rest of you, you may wish to consider the fact that there are plenty of meatbags capable of cruelty far worse, and may I say much more creative, than I. If you will not kill, then you will be killed. Organics will do anything in the pursuit of what they desire. In that, I have ample experience. If you do not wish to end up like this one here, then you have but one choice to get what you want. You all have it within you, as whomever programmed me did.
[that blinking sensor inside his head becomes more urgent, but it's washed over by the unending pain that's been inflicted on him since the start, he shakes his head]
Extrapolation: I do regret that I have only thus far been able to kill one paltry meatbag, and that was hardly satisfying given his attempts to fight back were wholly ineffective. However, seeing that angry meatbag be punished and suffer so exquisitely for it without any interaction from me was wonderful.

shi qingxuan realizes the instant that her foot connects with metal that the kick was a bad idea - she's probably broken a few toes. but when hk-47 catches her entire leg, she realizes with a sinking feeling that it's about to get even worse than just a few toes.
she bites down on her lip in anticipation, not wanting to give him the pleasure of hearing her scream, and manages to contain it - mostly. it's muffled because she refuses to part her lips, but unfortunately, he stomps on her arm next.
this, she doesn't see coming, and she lets out an earsplitting shriek of pain. she lets go of the crystal reflexively, and it lies uselessly on the ground there, her fingers twitching as if to try and get it back. after a moment she gets them around it, but what use is it, anyway?
what can she... what can she... her vision is blurring, and she's vaguely aware that there are tears in her eyes from the pain. hk-47 is... he's talking? he's talking.
slowly, she turns her head towards the timer.
...
she'll let him talk.
survive, it said.
she just has to survive.
but, what he's saying - it's infuriating. so it was him? all along, it was him? she turns her head away from the timer as he finishes up, and her gaze rests on the hand of her unbroken arm.
her eyes widen as something occurs to her, and then a moment later -
with great effort, she sits up, and swipes at hk-47's upper body. her hand is... it's huge. it's a yaoi hand. i don't know what to tell you. but it's larger, and hopefully stronger, and maybe she can knock him into the void that the ground crumbling beneath them is giving way to, if she catches him by surprise, while he's distracted.]

the giant, powerful hand smacks directly into his chest with a satisfying (to everyone else) wham, putting a small, fresh dent in his chestplate—and now it's his turn to fly across the room, right over the yawning chasm leading into darkness
he crashes hard into the wall, and for a moment it looks like all 160 kilos of steel are going to tumble straight down and leave shi qingxuan to bleed out on the only remaining patch of floor
but his torso twists, and sharp, exceedingly strong steel fingers that feel no pain dig into the wall sending a shower of sparks cascading and filling the room with a horrific metallic scraping sound. he slows enough for his feet to find purchase and springs off the wall and back up towards the platform, coming to a landing directly on top of shi qingxuan's still form
he picks her up with both hands wrapped around her head]
Query: Are you still alive? Even though I have been prolonging things for my own enjoyment, I must say that your endurance is very impressive for a meatbag. As is your relative lack of screams. Let us try to change that.
[and he begins to squeeze, vice-like hands compressing her skull with agonizing and deliberate slowness—his fingers dig into skin and rake down as it gives way under the pressure, causing blood to pour down onto the isolated platform
for the first time in a while, he looks at the timer: 0:12, 0:11, 0:10...]
Statement: It appears we are nearly out of time. Before you die, I would like you and the meatbags watching to know that your suffering, Shi Qingxuan, would not be possible had I not received permission to do so. As I told you, I do not harm indiscriminately, but only under command, as any weapon does.
[the squeezing continues, the blood flows out, and time is almost up]
Query: Do you have any last words? I will happily convey them. A service I do not usually provide.

0:09.
just a little longer, she thinks, as she feels the pressure of his hands on her skull. a little longer. survive. it hurts. gods, it hurts. a tiny, pained noise escapes from her lips, but she bites down hard again.
she doesn't want to give him the satisfaction.
0:08.
what can she do? she has to get out of this. hk-47 has to pay for what he did to tamaki - she can't just let him walk free. there are others he'll kill if he's the one to make it out of this room.
his fingers dig into the skin, tearing flesh, and she whimpers, her lips parting with an agonized scream despite her best efforts.
0:07.
she has to get out of his grasp somehow. she squirms, but her broken arm and leg around moving, and she can't get enough leverage on her unbroken arm for another swing. not to mention, if he topples over into the void, he'll take her with him.
0:06.
it hurts. it hurts too badly. just a little longer, isn't it? if she can just hold on a little longer...
0:05.
the scream fades out into silence, and she slumps over, unmoving.]

Commentary: That was far more than most meatbags could hold out. You nearly made it, and perhaps we would have both survived if so, but I do have a reputation to uphold and programmed functions to carry out.
I am only sorry you did not have your powers or weapons you spoke of. Still, I feel much better now. What an utterly frustrating and humiliating week this was.
[he has a look at the crystal, which remains unactivated in shi qingxuan's hand, maybe there was meant to be a lighstaber in here somewhere she had to construct? that would have been interesting—or maybe she just didn't now what to do with it
regardless, the only clear order was to survive and he has done so—giving a shrug, he leaps easily over the pit towards the door, landing on the bit of remaining flooring there and waiting for it to open back up
the pain continues, and he ruminates on the feeling as his sensors annoyingly continue to blare, likely because of the proximity to a fall that would disable him, or whatever electrical interference threw off his programming this week and kept him from killing]
Statement: To the meatbags on the other side, I have been given authority to defend myself against oncoming attacks. If you wish to avenge Shi Qingxuan I would recommend you ready yourselves and send the weak away.
[the timer ticks down to its final seconds as he waits at the door: 0:03, 0:02, 0:01... and he has survived
HK-47 is alive and ready]

Suddenly, Shi Qingxuan falls into an endless bottomless pit, debris falling after her. It's a quick movement, blink and you'll miss it, and soon she's out of sight.
The moment HK-47 takes a step, however, he collapses in on himself, steps staggering as he involuntarily stumbles back from the door. Pressure rises in the room and every metal plate and every bolt begins to snap, crunching and grinding as it folds inward. Like an invisible compactor coming down from the top and from the sides, HK-47 finds himself being crushed into a nice, neat little square the side of a rubik's cube, left on a center platform in the void.
And then the ceiling collapses and crushes it flat. Just like that, HK-47 is gone.
The door to the conference room soon swings open, and Shi Qingxuan rolls down a slope from the dark right into the arms of whoever is closest.
The conference room goes dark as the lights go out, the white execution room flashing before going black as the conference room lights up once more. The door has disappeared, and the Avatars are no longer at their table.
The events of the day have finished.]

Because of the injuries, he doesn't want to jostle her too much right away by scooping her up - instead follows her momentum and kneels down with her to take stock of everything up close first.
Something unreadable passes over his face as he does, before he shutters it away. ]
... stupid, you're so stupid.

[ he's not going to grab any part of him in case he jostles ming yi, and by extension sqx. but he does nod in the direction of the exit.
the sooner they get her there, the sooner she can heal herself up. ]
no subject
Hopefully not.
He does give Yuri a quick incline of his head as he goes, at least. ]
no subject
The way's clear. You should get her to the med bay quickly.

[ He means it, considering the deadpan's gone from his voice, turning it into something quieter. He'll ease up and head out with the precious cargo, in a less triumphant version of Iki's meme. ]
