Rise and shine, little sinners. Did you rest well? Hope you weren't too perturbed by the events of the day before. Things seem to be perfectly normal throughout your morning, but at 12pm, everyone will receive a mass text message to their phone.

good evening, good morning and hello! please come join us in the conference room!

Whether you agree or disagree, soon you will find yourself physically moving toward the conference room on the bottom floor, filing into the room and taking a seat in one of the vacant chairs. Two metal boxes sit at the end of each table along with a collection of pens and colored notecards. At the head of the room, Lust, Pride, Envy and Gluttony patiently wait as the TV above them displays a message.

Victims: Kaz Kaan, Grell Sutcliff

Once the last participant enters the room, the door will swing closed behind them and lock them inside.

For a moment, everything looks completely normal, until you notice Envy slumped face-down on the table, bleeding out from a stab wound in the front. Lust is busy putting a pink fluffy towel under their head, Pride is sitting slouched in a chair twirling a knife, and in that moment Gluttony claps their hands together to get everyone's attention.

"If you would please get started. You all have nine fleeting hours to find out what happened, and place your votes."

Hello, and welcome to your second trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the events of the day before! While mini-investigations were held yesterday, today is the day characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.

There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

Finally, while voting is not mandatory, we do have a voting page should characters wish to vote! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST) if you wish to vote.

I didn't even know what a "sockem bop'em" was until five minutes ago, so I'm not sure, either.

[ he doesn't want to know. he's gonna go check the loft bedroom area, while eleanor's doing that, checking around the bed, under it, and under the covers! and then maybe in the closet up there, poking around in the costumes.

i bet we walked by a ton of blood. or chocolate. ]

[She will go check out the lower floor bedroom, then. Looking under the bed, taking apart the covers, and then looking through and under the night stand and the closet.]

. . . Look for a camera. Aoi said she, Misa, and Kaz Kaan were taking pictures.

the living room, kitchen, and common areas seem to be okay when eleanor just checks them out.

up in the loft bedroom, things are fine around and under the bed (though there may be a couple red drops on the carpet.) when gu yun checks under the covers of the loft bed, though-- haha, you mentioned blood? the bed is neatly made, but the sheets are all bloody!

harrow will find the lower floor bedroom also appears to be fine.]

Yeah, my mistake. I'm no expert on 90s nerd toys or anything.

[ eleanor will look inside the desk and underneath it.. underneath the table, in all the drawers, around the area, etc. ]

[ what kind of sociopath makes the bed with bloody sheets? hello. does the blood have any discernible pattern? is it just all over the place, or concentrated to one area/two areas/etc? any on the pillowcases or is it just the sheets?

is there anything under the mattress? he'll look there, too, and between the fitted sheet and the mattress itself, feeling around for any weird lumps as carefully as possible. ]

[Yikes! Well. . . she will first check the bathroom, just to be thorough. The sink, the tub, the towels, the toiletries cabinet. But finding nothing else, she will start to hobble up the stairs to help Gu Yun look.

She will keep an eye out on her way for a camera? Is there a camera left out anywhere?]

Blood. . . was he killed in here? And then the killer made the bed?

[eleanor finds nothing out of place!

there's not really a discernible pattern of blood, no. it's more like blood splatter than anything. a mess was made here, and yes, the pillow has some splatter on it too. he can feel around under the mattress and beneath the sheet, but he does not come up with anything!

harrow finds nothing in the bathroom! there is no camera along the way.

also for clarity, sisi's list of locations to check stopped at the bed with the blood, for your reference on what has and has not been looked at.]

Yeesh. So, I'm guessing this is Kaz's bed...?

Likely. Suppose he died here?

[ aight movin on. let's check... the nightstand! i'm trying to leave stuff for everyone to look at, ]

I think so.

[I can't tell if Gu Yun already checked under the bed before blood, but she will check under it. And then she will check the closets. Digging through them thoroughly, but also noting if the belongings in here look like they were Kaz's, rather than Aoi's. And still looking for that dumb camera.]

[forgive your mod because evidently the sitting area did in fact have a polaroid camera, with no film left. eleanor would have found this!

the nightstand has nothing amiss!

when harrow opens the closet, yes, these do appear to be kaz's belongings...

kaz's somewhat bloody clothes are neatly hung inside. the closet also contains a big toblerone.]

[ ive lost track of whats been checked in the room so eleanor will just check whatever has not been checked pls take pity on me ]

Eleanor, you can take photographs well enough, right? Can you take one with your phone, for the bed? You can use mine, if you prefer, it doesn't matter.

[ please don't ask him to take a picture it will be so blurry.

he's gonna look up at the ceiling over the bed just in case i trust no one. also, the coffee table? anything on the couch? are there more toblerones??

which, seeing that, he just gives the closet the most dead inside stare. ] How long do you think it will take someone to ask if that thing is Kaz when we get back?

[The mods said no more film, I think. But I'll add that before checking the closet Harrow took a second look at the bed, too. Anyway she stares at the Toblerone and starts doing that strange exhausted laughter again.]

What by the Emperor's bones have we done to deserve this never ending parade of big Toblerones?

[Someone else grab Kaz's clothes - she's going to just start pulling it out of the closet and trying to open it here. Is there blood on it?]

[the polaroid itself has no film, correct. the ceiling is fine, the couch is fine, there are no toblerones save for that big one currently in sight.

harrow can check out the toblerone, but this one is clean. she can open it! it's intact. congratulations. it's a lot of chocolate.

sipp, i will take pity on you and give eleanor the clothes-- she can take them, and it feels like there may be something in his pants pockets.]

in the pants pockets of kaz's ralph lauren purple label khakis, eleanor will find:
-a polaroid of himself and aoi, taken at an angle. they look happy.
-his cellphone.
