WEEK 1 TRIAL
POPULATION: 33
Rise and shine, little sinners. Did you rest well? Hope you weren't too perturbed by the events of the day before. Things seem to be perfectly normal throughout your morning, but at 12pm, everyone will receive a mass text message to their phone.
Whether you agree or disagree, soon you will find yourself physically moving toward the conference room on the bottom floor, filing into the room and taking a seat in one of the vacant chairs. Two metal boxes sit at the end of each table along with a collection of pens and colored notecards. At the head of the room, Lust, Pride, Envy and Gluttony patiently wait as the TV above them displays a message.
Once the last participant enters the room, the door will swing closed behind them and lock them inside.
For a moment, everything looks completely normal, until you notice Envy slumped face-down on the table, bleeding out from a stab wound in the front. Lust is busy putting a pink fluffy towel under their head, Pride is sitting slouched in a chair twirling a knife, and in that moment Gluttony claps their hands together to get everyone's attention.
"If you would please get started. You all have nine fleeting hours to find out what happened, and place your votes."
Hello, and welcome to your second trial! Over the course of the next nine hours, characters will have the opportunity to discuss, investigate and theorize about the events of the day before! While mini-investigations were held yesterday, today is the day characters will have time to examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations.
There will be a mod-tag break between 4pm EST/1pm PST to 5pm EST/2pm PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
Finally, while voting is not mandatory, we do have a voting page should characters wish to vote! Please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes (9pm EST/6pm PST) if you wish to vote.
Good luck, and have fun!

Re: GRELL BODY RESULTS
We felt heat in the med bay, too. I think it's likely whoever killed her was also burned, and healed the burn.

The pods, do they heal every single wound?

Depending on when Grell was killed, her killer could've had plenty of time to sit in a pod and heal themselves up. So time might not be an issue.

It might worth keeping that in mind if we do decide to look for injuries again.
[ ... ] I know a lot of people who thought about testing it, but other than Harrow do we know anyone else?
no subject
But they may or may not have had time to completely heal everything.

. . . The vertebrae that were damaged [Sorry I don't think she'd know C3+C4 as terminology] wouldn't necessarily have been fatal, but would have been likely to completely paralyze her. It was a crushing fracture. There were also multiple fractures to the back of the scapula, and one of her shoulders was dislocated.
She was less burned on the back, as well.

I'm thinking she got attacked from the back, her arm dislocated so she couldn't use her chainsaw, and then if she was less burned on the back then that meant she could've been left face down onto whatever the heat source was...?
... so I do think we're looking for somebody strong again - at least strong enough to break bone.
no subject
I was wondering if it isn't possible that she fell. If she was lying on her back when she was set on fire, it might explain why the burns were lesser there.
no subject
[ wow she's making an effort ]
no subject
I'll admit I've never interacted with a cadaver that was burnt alive, so I'm not certain I'll be able to tell you.

[he makes a gesture of one hand laying flat, and his other hand inching closer and then on top. like flames crawling on top of a person]
.... not knowing where this fire is is really weirding me out, Harrow-san. Unless someone's just got a convenient flamethrower somewhere.

So even if being burned was the cause of death, she probably wasn't in pain?

I mean, if the spine fracture paralyzed her, at least after that... Obviously breaking a bone hurts, but if burning to death feels anything like being electrocuted I'm sure it hurts a lot more.

[ but if he wants to pretend he's free to ]

[I'm sorry lmao.]

... Ah.
[LIKE HE HADN'T THOUGHT OF THAT??? He looks sad about it but says nothing else.]
