Good morning, starshines. It is another beautiful day here on the base, and it’s the start of a new week!

Good thing, too. After the deaths of Eleanor Shellstrop and Misa Amane, the tension around the base may be a bit higher than it was before. Should anyone try to contact the deceased or review their profiles, they will find that they have been deleted from everyone's phones.

Perhaps you expect this by now, but it seems that the elevator reveals that it may now visit the fourth floor. It may be worth checking out these new areas, free for exploration. If you're feeling incredibly ambitious, you can also take a more in-depth look. After all, that previously locked room on the first floor has now opened.

While you can't contact the deceased, the Avatars are once again available via their eight symbols. Shoot them a message, have a chat with them, and see what you can learn. Perhaps you'll find it easier this week.

Actually? You will likely find several things easier this week. Everything you set out to do will be granted care and consideration without a second thought. You'll find yourself being completely thorough in all endeavors, everything given your undivided attention and energy. Regardless of what this is, you will feel the need to give it your all and a sudden drive will seize you to encourage you to carry out tasks this week.

Monday:
- A sign has appeared outside of the Biome Garden, sometime in the afternoon.

Tuesday:
In the tea room...
- Several chair cushions are ripped, their contents strewn about and stuck to honey that's smeared across the ground, some tables and some chairs.
- There is food all over the place. It looks like two pitching machines had a food fight. Food walls. Food floor. Food everywhere.
- There are some broken plates and cups on the ground.
- All tables are on their sides and scattered throughout different places in the room, like they'd been hit over or thrown.
- There are two forks embedded in the astroturf.
- Several tins of tea are knocked over and there are loose tea leaves everywhere.
- There are two trails of honey, tea cake and stuffing that lead out of the room.
- There is a smeared sandwich on the wall by the entrance.
- Thee is also a butt-print on the floor outside of the tea room made of cake, honey and stuffing.

SLOTH

[Sloth is out and about in the base this week. Their feet and hands are grey, darker at the tips and growing lighter as the color stretches up the skin into the robes. The spiraled horn protruding from their forehead is so long and sharp it has curved slightly backward over their hood. They hover a few inches above the ground; every so often lightning jumps as little sparks around their feet, or in the shadows of the hood.

They can be found anywhere around the base, but will most often be seen in The Fields, sitting on the strong stone arm of a vine-wrapped statue clutching a spear. The foot-wide scroll is unfurled a bit in front of them, and they are doodling on the page with a pen.

If anyone approaches, they'll pause to offer a wave.]

[ he'll ... well. not lean to peek at what sloth's doing, but he's certainly curious. ]

the fields;

[shi qingxuan is in the habit of investigating the new locations each week to begin with - the effect just means that she's extra thorough about it. so, catch her in the fields, inspecting each and every statue, trying to make out what they are through the vines. (she can't tell, despite her best efforts.) she's also examining the luminescent plants and fluorescent crystals, trying to commit the details to memory.

it's important to be familiar with what's in a place, isn't it? just in case it comes up at a trial or something?

...also, her hair's a little wet - looks like she might have ended up under the water at some point. but it's probably fine.]

the spa;

[likewise, she's being as thorough as possible in her investigation of the spa. first, a quick walk around to see what's where - then a thorough inventory of the makeup and nail polish (hmm, she'll have to try some of it out, later, just for the sake of being thorough), and then she's back at the front podium, looking over the list of services.

she mumbles to herself - ]

It would probably be best to find out what each of these does... right?

[someone please stop her from choosing gratification. cosmetics is fine, i think it would be funny for her to end up with clown makeup.]

the pool;

[well...

here she is, at the pool. she's seated at the side of it, having walked around it already. one sleeve is drawn up to keep it from the liquid; she dips her hand in, then draws her hand out, watching the red water drip away and leave stains on her skin.

her nose wrinkles slightly, but she gives the water a contemplative look.

...can she say she's being thorough if she doesn't find out what happens if you go in there...? hmm. she's just thinking about it for now, at least.]

security;

[well, she wasn't expecting to see anything different on this floor, but as it turns out the room is open, and it'd be irresponsible not to check it out, right?

so, in she goes. her attention is caught by the wall of computers showing a live feed of the other miscellaneous rooms.]

[ are you having a peaceful monday morning? good. i hope you are. because there is a very loud crash and clatter from the common room early on, and a swear in a foreign language shouted, that you can likely hear from the hallway.

coming to investigate the sound of the mysterious noise gets you... gu yun, actually! he's sitting on the ground, looking rather like he fell, ungracefully, holding onto one of the stools at the bar itself, which is now also on the floor. the source of the clattering seemed to not only be the stool, but two or three bottles of liquor, which were knocked off of the shelf and are now in glass shards everywhere. the contents of the bottle are all over the floor, and... all over gu yun, unfortunately, and he looks displeased, liuli glassless and irritated like an angry cat. ] ...Damn it.

ii. super sniffer (?)

[ or, maybe later, you can find him in the tea room. this is one of his favorite spots, and has been forever. this task completion curse this week seems to be useful, though, in the way that he's got a box of the tea in front of him, and is picking up a satchet from the box to sniff it, and then setting it down into a certain spot. and then the same with another, a spot to the middle. and then another, a spot to the right. he's just. doing this, seeming pretty zen and quiet for once in his life.

[she's been... avoiding the tea room for a bit, actually, but since finding an unlocked door on the first floor she figures it's best to be thorough and check out the other places too, in case anything else has changed. that's my justification for her finding this.

[yuri can peek! there's writing on most of it, but it's written in a strange bunch of characters. the edges of the scroll, though, have been elaborately decorated. it looks like that is what sloth is working on.]
