First of all, he was naked. It seems that the killing blow was a wound to the neck, and it appears it cut over a vein. It is surprisingly deep, around a few inches, so perhaps a stab wound, of sorts? There are also crumbs of some kind of chewed pastry in his mouth.
It seems that Vlad may have fought with his attacker, or at least tried to defend himself since there are cuts and stab wounds all over the forearms and they look similar to his neck wound. Otherwise, he has some healed wounds which I assume were from his adventure the other day - a healed chest wound that goes all the way through it to the back, and some animal-like bites near his elbows and on his calves.
Otherwise, strangely enough, nothing on the feet! So I still do not know if he had anything to do with those shoes or not.
